We're on the road, riding a 13 game winning streak. Tough to extend beyond this juncture.
Also, Spurs' winning streaks, with the exception of the 19-game streak in late 2014, tend to stop at exactly 13 in championship seasons for us.
In addition, we're on the road against the top seed in the NBA which boasts an unblemished home record and a 40–4 overall record ()
Not to mention, we're without our long-time team leader who also happens to be the best defensive player in the NBA at age 39.
And Steve Kerr is back, and the team has been rallying around him as of late.
Please do NOT panic when we lose tonight. I'm about to go out with a girl in less than an hour. Probably won't see most of the game. Have a great night and don't take the game too seriously, don't get too drunk and emo over it because you've got work in the morning and the Spurs losing tonight DOES NOT mean our season is ruined and DOES NOT mean the Spurs aren't going to be fine in the long run this season. We're firmly locked into the #2 Western and overall seed and comfortably ahead of the Cavs, Thunder and Clippers, and that is unlikely to change barring an unprecedented barrage of Spurs injuries in the near term.

You've more or less said that the Spurs stand no chance of getting to the Finals as long as the Warriors have HCA in a hypothetical WCF. Losing to them tonight means the Spurs trail by 3 games for the No. 1 seed and with a very small chance at winning a tiebreaker scenario. By your own logic, the Spurs' entire season hinges on this and perhaps a handful of other regular season games coming up.
