Translated from video in spanish here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=09I1zV0f9C0

    Q) What's left as a learning experience from this defeat

That they're better than us right now, without a doubt. And the 48 minutes, well, 36 really, because it was 3 quarters that we had to defend them and they're a team that's very different from anybody else. We haven't played against them in like 9-10 months, and we needed to face them, to see how you defend them, attack them, what are their comfort zones, what we're not going to have as comfort zones, so it's definitely a learning experience playing against them. They're going through an incredible moment right now, and we didn't have a chance.

    Q) Is it frustrating playing against them?

No, frustration? No. They're just better than us right now. I'm not embarrassed to say there's a team better than us, what's the problem with that? It's not the first time and it won't be the last. They're much better than us, and for us to have a shot right now we have to do everything right, and frankly, we were too far away from doing everything right.

    Manu with the Truth.
This is why the Spurs win championships. And blowouts like this happen. Like Portlant blowing out the Spurs in the regular season only to get beat down in the playoffs. Are my favorite is the Bulls curb stomping the Jazz by 40 only for the Jazz almost beat them the next to beating them the game after and probably should have won game 6 as well. Spurs got to see where the Warriors are and what adjustments need to be made. If this is the game that finally gets LMA going offensively, I'll take it.

GS is better than the Spurs right now. Turnovers were a big problem last night, but it masked our inability to consistently defend in half court. Spurs have a lot of work to do.

GS might turn out to be the best team in NBA history and overtake the Bulls' 72 win season. So there is no shame in losing to the team. And there will be no shame in losing to them again in the playoffs if the Warriors keep playing out of their minds.

Just have to hope they either come down to earth or injuries start creeping up on Curry. The Spurs could really could use a prime Bowen.

Manu is programmed to say that by Pop

We are far better than what we showed. Every team has that kind of night. It took us 3 months to have ours.

manu with the truth indeed. Beyond that if you hear the interview: he's so sincere and humble in his admission that they are much better and that to have a chance, there is a lot to do.

It is interesting he mentioned how you defend them. There was no way to defend them when they pick on Tony/Patty and then pass so well out of double teams, but the backcuts could be eliminated, there were too many allowed by everyone.

Spurs have won championships in years past where they were great but not necessarily the best team. They can do it again.

Wtf? Care to make an example?

I'd say its totally opposite. Spurs have lost championships in years past where they were the best team.

Difference between Spurs and the other teams is that Spurs like to give opposing teams compliments. Spurs don't like to stir up opposing team fire so that they have a point to prove to beat them.

Spurs is just smart.. the players said the nicest things and beat them when it matters..

2007 might be a valid case... Mavs going 67-15 and getting killed by the Warriors in the 1st round.

Trust me, Pop is relishing this moment, and knows that this is the best way to get his team's complete and undivided attention. The blowout was a good thing.

I agree that the Spurs lost in 2006 and were probably the best team. They also lost in 2004 and were probably the best team. I am thinking 2007 Dallas was as good as the Spurs. In 2003, the Spurs beat LA but if Horry knocks down that three in game 5 that went in-and-out, Spurs probably fire Pop and might not have the championships that they have today. That series was closer than game 6 would have us believe.

Not taking anything away from the Spurs. Sometimes it comes down to a break here or there. All I am saying is that the Spurs right now are not the best team in the league, but are still in a great spot to win the championship. If I recall, when they beat Miami, each team kicked the crap out of the other team on their home court.

If Parker said this, it would be fine. It's the "I know we'll never win a championship again" and "I can't believe they're leaving Danny open" in the middle of a series that people took exception with.

That Mavs team looked like it was really wearing down by April, I don't think they were anywhere near as good as the 2006 team was. No way the 2006 team loses to the gimmicky Warriors.
