He he didn't have a great game but it is easy to see how he can have a positive impact over a 7 game series vs the warriors where with patty it's hard to see a good time to put him on the floor vs warriors

The rule has been around for awhile. IIRC announcers were saying it for the spurs when they wanted to foul Jordan last year in the playoffs but they didnt and gave him freethrow plus ball possession because it was already under 2 minutes the second he passed the ball.

Yeah, but the rule you're talking about is for a foul off the ball. In the last two minutes, that will get you shots plus the ball. It's to force you to foul the guy with the ball, or not foul at all.
