My take. POP really needed to give time to Kyle due to the omen Timmy' s knee has taken. I have always said, in another team with a more shallow rotation Kyle would play. Sadly our rotation without Tim got shallow. This was just a necessity. Simmons is up to speed, Kyle was not. Apparently well need him until Timmy is back and I still think our big rotation will be matchup based and in flux.
Where were you tonight with Kyle starting?

Kyle had a bunch of missed assignments tonight though. Pop let him play through it, but that won't last long. He has to play smarter on defense. On offense I thought he was great. Kept making easy plays for lma and others.

Well... the Spurs are +1 over the last two games. So they've got that going for them.

Nice, the last two games pretty much cancel each other out as far as the crucial Points Differential standings go.
not really, unless the Warriors win by like 1 tonight

I was out... but I caught the game half way. I thought he was battling with Capella for some rebounds... good to see him get burn. With this Tim injury I am sure Pop was scared as about this game. Lots tape/film for him to look at. It's how you get better.

    Thanks fir minirecap

I missed most of the first half. Who did Pop start? How did LMA look?
Kyle Anderson started because Houston went small with Howard at center.
Had a hot start. Like 16 pts in 3 minutes. Tony did some hero balling and things slowed down. Kawhi and Danny were raining threes...and kawhis jumper us looking very nice again. LMA was very agresive on the boards. Competed all night. Had 14 pts, 4 rebs and 3 asts in 20 mins in the first. LMA definitely came out to establish himself and the entire offense looked much better with him getting an increase in touches. Everything came much easier with him collapsing the defense. They were doubling him on most plays after he started jump shooting. His early inside game wasn't working too well on Howard, but they couldn't contain his outside game.

Strange how LMA has no trouble with the bigger Howard (remember Portland playoffs in '14?) but let a little sucker like Draymond push him around.

Mavs on a back to back without Dirk so that means Dubs will win by 100 points.

He Honestly distributed the ball so much better than Tony did and got teammates in rhythm, as well as passing good shots for better. How I wish this team would get a true pg. We pass on so many easy buckets wig the limited court vision our players have. He made some plays on defense but was inconsistent with it. Drew some fouls and was active with his reach as usual. A couple times he just took off to the wrong side of the court and left his man all alone. Liked what I saw though.

He kept trying to go through draymond instead of over. His game is over their heads, not through. Draymond us small but stout with quick feet. Once you have position low, it's easy to keep a man out the paint as long as you have decent strength. His weakness is his reach. LMA went over him once and made an easy shot. He should have that all night. He took that more often tonight. Needs to stick with going over them. Pop preaches inside out, but lma is much better outside in. Shooting, and crashing boards.
