“Someone” sent an email to my employer to try to get me fired “for blogging on company time”.
Unfortunately for them… I didn’t even have to dismiss the allegations – simply because I manage to produce deliverables at an efficiently high level – and don’t really need to defend the use of my time to validate my work output. That said, if folks here could stoop to that level of maliciousness, simply because they disagree with my views, because they ‘hate’ that I wear Christianity on my sleeve and defend my right to believe as I wish, to vote as I wish – that's a reflection of their intolerance. But when they end the email with the phrase "I know where he lives," - well, I consider that borderline threatening behavior.
I am now forced to confine my participation in Spurstalk relegated strictly to the Spurs forum and will likely have to create a new account to that end. I will not expose my family or my children to threats from bitter, mentally unstable folks in this forum.
To everyone else: Thanks for the enlightening debates. Despite my self-acknowledged stubbornness, I will admit that I learned much from many of the posters on this forum (I actually miss engages with Extra Stout, FWD, etc...).
I offer my heartfelt apology if I offended anyone. "Agreeing to disagree without being disagreeable" is a difficult thing to do with the passionate, controversial, or deeply rooted subjects that are routinely discussed in this particular sub-forum.

That sucks someone did that but the short lesson is don't post about how you're spending too much time posting here while at work.
Especially if you're gonna wear your Christianity on your sleeve.....stealing from your employer like that is unseemly.

As far as I knew, this account claimed to work at an oil rig. The account also claimed in the course of our dispute to have a physics degree when I brought up Euler's topology.

Well...hate to see anyone go...but Phenomanul hasn't really provided any proof that anyone sent anything to anyone....and people flame out all the time...

Actually, I agree this is more likely. Someone saw at work what he was doing that doesn't like him. I'm posting now from work. However, I am on my personal laptop and my T-mobile hotspot, and on break.
I don't care how innocent it is, people should never use work computers for activities like this, unless work sanctioned.

That is a good point. No one here would use the phrase "blogging" to describe this, IMO.
Someone who didn't know what Spurstalk is, and just saw it passing by, though, might. Someone who resents a high-productivity co-worker and sees the chance to bring them down a peg or remove the compe ion, would have a great deal of motivation to send such an email, as well as easy access to the email address of Phenomanul's boss.
