I don't think he pays anything for that IIRC.
it's probably company speed. with all the network drinking from that milkshake. i doubt he usually gets that.
comcast on my end sucks. i never get the speed i pay for because of the coax. it's my only provider though.

At 2am it's probably that fast.
Yeah that's what I thought.
Those speeds aren't available to the every day user I would think. Company net sounds more fair.
Nope, it's their highest home speed in "select" markets like Austin and now San Antonio. It's not synchronous gigabit, but it's pretty good for coax.
do u guys download at work? or its all monitored?
gigapower - san antonio northside
didn't do it internally on the network either to inflate the speeds similar to what resistanze did. If i did that, then it looks like this.

Post home internet speeds got.
lol you think everyone works the late shift to brag about their internets speeds?
Fast internet is actually available in a lot of homes.
Fortunately I don't pay anything but if I where it would be around 85 to 90
Nope, all legit as you can click on the image

I know TWC is offerinv us 200mbps, but i was skeptical until this thread. Guess maybe it is legot after all.
Eventually it won't be a talking point. We'll have the speed we need to do what we want to do. I do already, but there's still that "better than yours" concept. It was the same with PCs for a long time where CPU speed was always the goal, now it's performance on certain platforms.
my internet is fast enough when it's running at 30. if I need better response I just use an ethernet cable...iirc if you're a single user pulling 5 mb/sec and under 100 ping is plenty for anything you're doing unless you're downloading a sh ton of gb worth of data at a time.
It's real. To make sure you get the most out of it over wifi you need a really good AC router or one of TWC's newest modem/router combos.
That is correct. In order to achieve these new speeds you need a "Maxx Modem" which has 16 downsteam channels rather then the standard of 8. Customers who are in these MAXX areas should seek these newer modems.
And some models -- Ubee (personal experience) and Technicolor (similar specs) are better than others for wifi. It can be a pain to get the good stuff but it actually comes close to being worth the modem lease.
time warner equipment is the worst.
New stuff is pretty good in my experience. But I'm not a power user and YMMV.
Getting the old Ubee Docsis 3.0 modem in bridge mode to use my own router was a nightmare tbh, and when i got my Motorola Surfboard they made it a to even use it.
