He made a couple of nice assists and pulled down a big board off a box-out down the stretch when the game was still undecided. Nothing glaringly bad that I saw, just meh.
how is it not comparative. The hawks did the spurs a favor in taking ter's sorry ass to clear up cap room for us to sign Aldridge. We got rid of one player and replaced him in the starting lineup with another. Yes, please tell me how it's not a comparative thing.
I loved what I saw out of them both here.
Also our Anderson needs to start shooting the 3 to open things up for them both.
The Spurs starting lineup has not had a dominant game it feels like in a while. Normally 3 starters score most of the 'starter" points then the bench does their thing. But Kawhi/LMA did their damn thing tonight and it's good to see this SL have a dominant game.
TP played his role well and I'm glad to see Danny with a big minutes game. Team long-term is better with him playing big minutes.
Yup. Even when open, he steps in. He is still getting to good spots, but having that confidence to fire will be a welcome addition.
He was cooking tonight. When he's playing like that, I don't care if he's on the floor for all 48 minutes. Don't sit that man down and let him get cold!!
Exactly. Remember the old adage that it isn't until the second year players can really succeed in the Spurs' system? Well, LMA (and David West) have handled it pretty well. Can't throw away this year because who knows how much longer we'll have Timmy and Manu, but kind of excited to see what Kawhi and LMA can do together NEXT year together.

Because we were never gonna pay Tiago what we laid out for LMA. Is LMA an upgrade? Sure. Is he worth what he 's getting paid? Different question entirely. The LMA we saw tonight is. The LMA we have seen most of time isn't. I hope he builds on this game.
Thanks. I saw he didn't shoot well, hopefully he doesn't go through a Danny cold spell. As long as he's solid on defense, its probable he will continue to get minutes for Tim. I saw Diaw didn't play much either.

I think Pop wasn't using LMA very well TBH.. kind of similar to how our Anderson started looking more like himself when Pop called upon him to produce. I don't think Pop had really laid it out to LMA to be the man. He was playing like a roleplayer.
I hope he has the mentality that he needs to bring this fire on a nightly basis. With Kawhi and him playing like that, and the solid and deep roster we have... truly I am believing in this team, so long as Timmy is healthy and back.
Edit: or maybe Pop and teammates had laid it out to LMA, but he didn't feel the urgency until recently. For sure we were not winning these games, even the one against the Magic if LMA didn't bring it.
Can't really explain that except that Pop probably wanted to see more of West and Kyle for some Pop reason.

The only person that can stop this duo is Parker. If he goes 2 or 3 games without being a factor, jealousy will start to happen again, then he's gonna start ing up as usual.
Ryan Anderson really went crazy on Boris last game. I am sure Pop has to have some reason, maybe a test for Kyle was a factor, can't tell since I didn't see it.

Maybe. It goes directly to the question of whether LMA can play this game and find these spots while he's on the floor at the same time as Timmy. I still believe that is a real conundrum.
