And to slow down the game

OP's thread making ability this season has been unbelievable btw.![]()
And to slow down the game
He sure as couldn't..
I share your concern about the boarding.
He desperately needs to learn the hook shot to score over draymond
I positively predicted LMA's All Star selection would be a massive confidence booster for him. His last 4 games are
25 pts, 10 reb, 5 ast
15pts on 7-11 shooting in just 26 minutes in the Cleveland debacle where he got off to a hot start offensively but I think he had 3 fouls in the first quarter.
28pts, 4 reb, 5 blocks
36pts, 6 reb, 3blocks
4 straight games shooting 60% or better
8 blocks in the last 2 games
When was the last time another Spur big put up those numbers in a 4 game span? The real LMA is stepping up which is huge for the good guys and gives us one of the best 1-2 punches in the NBA. Hope this is the start of something big leading up the playoffs!
Appreciate it famyou believed he could do this even when he was struggling, tried to tell the vanilla fans

Doesnt that mean that Parker is focused on winning more than his stats ? Didn`t watch the game, but he could easy get 10 shots over Norris Cole and whoever is the starter there at PG.
He's playing closer to the ring and posting up with a lot more versatility (i.e. using his left hand).
Loss to GSW and Cavs and shutting down his twitter feeds has motivated him enough to work on his game.
The bright side is he is finally playing all-star level. The down side is scoring is now unbalanced with too many players scoring zero points and despite Green hitting 4 3 point shots, the Spurs needed the 4th quarter to put cellar dweller Pelicans away.
I don't mind. The reason why, LMA is actually CONTESTING shots. Doing so means you are going to get less rebounds. I don't want him to be Love 2.0 in that department, leave his man and go for rebounds. There is a reason he has 8 blocks in 2 games. Spurs needs Leonard, KA, Diaw, and West to box out.
And one thing I did notice when the Magic kept getting all those Offensive board, Mills and Green got smart and started to crash the boards as well. Magic only got 2 rebounds once they started to. I think rebounding is a team effort. The fact the Spurs are contesting shots, this is going to leave them open for Off RB. It takes a team effort in that the Spurs guards need to go for rebounds as well.
I don't mind Green out rebounding LMA if the reason is because LMA is contesting shots and making guys miss.
excellent, excellent post!!
In fairness Draymond is allowed to get away with much more contact than any other big. A little bit ridiculous
Aldridge is averaging over 10 boards per 36 minutes and has the 2nd highest TRB% of his career...I think he's doing just fine in that regard.
Anyways, he's been great as of late. Hopefully his confidence continues to build and this carries over into the 2nd half of the season + playoffs. Particularly hope that he continues getting to the line considering that's a weakness of this team.
Nice, but he's gotta bring it against the big boys.
Yeah that Anthony Davis is a lightweight.
yeah OP ! Cheers!! We are going to need an aggressive LMA for the RRT if we want it to be a successful one!!
I meant team big boys, GSW, Cleveland, OKC.
But was he worth making Danny shoot badly for two months?
Yes. Spurs still had the best start in franchise history despite it. Finally the morphing the Old & New Spurs system is finally taking form. Growing pains are part of any development project. Spurs experience far less than I even anticipated this year.
He's been playing great but I want to see him do it consistently against GS, Cleveland, and OKC.
I know in Cleveland he got some BS fouls.
Me too. I realize when youre blocking shots its hard to rebound but he should be getting the ones hes not defending. Id like to see him do more unsexy stuff like boxing out, defensive rebounds and setting solid screens. The latter could go a long way to making friends with teammates.
so his 16 in 25 mins against Cleveland last game was no good. Got it.
My concern is his lack of impact despite having put up a decent number of points. Just look at the game against the Pelicans, he scored 36 points but Spurs couldn't put away the Pelicans until late in the 4th.
This is despite the Spurs shooting 60% from the 3 point line. Just doesn't make sense to me.
Considering that the Pelicans are one of few teams that have a winning record against the Spurs over the past few seasons, I think this is a good thing.
