Lakers were never gonna out-tank Philly even before these couple of W's so it's whatever.

this. Unless Suns or Nets overtake them... these two wins against the two worst teams (besides us in the West) is inconsequential and to be expected. They were not gonna finish the year with 9 wins and even that would have only tied us with Philly. Cant out tank the tank masters If we settle at #2 and get Simmons still ... that would be glorious. If we end up with Ingram, still a successful tank.

If Philly gets another 1st overall and doesn't do with it, they need to be kicked out of the league. I'd rather see the Lakers get it if they are going to develop it (fat chance of that, probably end up back in Philly after some trades).

At this point, it seems it doesn't really matter.

The Lakers are so horrible in developing players and building a team that they can be getting a young Shaq and they wouldn't lead them to the promised land.

The first step for them is to put in competent management, then create a vision, then hire a coach to install a system that would complement that vision. With Chaz and Mrs. Jackson at the helm, they are not getting any of that done.

Just your typical 23yr old playing with kids, tbh. Will be a bust in the NBA just like McDermott

Good player. but he is getting an advantage with his experience. Still would take Ben or Ingram ...

That's a leap in logic. Just because Chaz was there didn't mean that without him you are light two. What impact did he specifically have on the two championships? Really, what did he actually do to take the credit? They had janitors and ball boys during those two championships too, doesn't mean that if a ballboy was fired in 2008 they wouldn't have won in 09 and 10.

    He insisted on drafting Bynum.
He insisted on retaining Bynum when Kobe tried to jettison him.

    Without Bynum we're light two.

Really, how did Chaz insist on drafting Bynum? Everybody said no, and he slammed his fist on the table demanding the Lakers draft Bynum, or everybody said draft Bynum, and Chaz goes "sure, whatever!" while sipping on martini at the corner of the room?
