I called it in the 2nd quarter... I said they'd get to 87 and maybe even break 90. Third unit defense is atrocious.
They got to 90, a little disappointing after the ridiculous first half. Oh well.

I think somebody posted it in this thread.
DeAndra Jordan is a got, that's why.
Mavs scored the most in the third before the benches cleared.
yeah, they had like close to 40 in the third... seems like the Spurs didn't care and were satisfied after the Zaza ejection and Kawhi's free throws putting us up by 39.
i remember when i was in college posting on forums on friday nights oh wait no i dont plz go away lwc.
This school is a deadzone on Friday nights. Everyone over freshman age that's not old goes back to see mom and dad every friday. Because like 98% of the campus is from the DFW megalopolis area. I'm in the 2% so I get to stay here, watch games, surf the web and play my superstar football franchise on addictinggames.com.
Ever since I've been here the campus has pretty much shut down at 2pm every friday (all MWF classes are in the morning or very early afternoon) because of the commuter school culture here. Saturdays are so dead that you'll find more squirrels on campus outside than people. Sundays, pretty much the same.
What I'd like to see is Pop settling in how he wants to play them, so they can get confidence and rhythm with some guys. Basically so they know what other like to do, and vice versa. They may cut but not get the ball, things of that nature. It's really tough to discern much from these weird lineups.
A Mavs fan yelled "He's a neanderthal! at Boban when JVG was talking on ESPN at the end of the 4th quarter. Did anyone hear it? Rude.
That at would be nice but it's really not going to happen til next year. Pop is still expermiting with lineups and I'm not sure he himself has a plan for the playoffs yet...... The only thing they can do to earn playoff minutes is to play well regardless of situations and lineups . They really have to be ready and able to contribute regardless of who is on tth floor...... Tall task
It is a tall task bc they are "developing" players.
Vets you can plug in and groove bc they are who they are and they know their game.
These guys have to test the limits to see what they can do right now and in the meantime there could be TO, mistakes, ill advised shots... I hope for our sakes yes one of them emerges as a contributor.
I think J.Simms has a niche with his athleticism. KA is a finesse player. I didn't expect to see him in the postseason initially but he still has time to develop and he's had some nice games along the way... as a 4, not a 3. Frankly I haven't liked him as a 3, but Pop insists.
Fck mavs fan for calling boban that.
Probably talking about Dirk.
Thanks, SAGirl! It's been a great day and our team kicking ass just made it that much better!
Someone has to back up Leonard at the 3, and Green's minutes will come at the 2 with Manu out. Too many guys at the 4-5 for Kyle to get minutes there. Once Diaw/West have moved on, that could definitely change.
I think he was mouthing about the fact that he'd just dunked on our giant. If you watch the rest of the game, it was pretty obvious that he took the matchup with Boban personally. He was really working to try and show him up, not just to score on him or defend him. Maybe the Spurs talked to him, but went with Boban instead?
If that's not it, then random neurons firing or something.
I had not thought about that at all....thanks!
It definitely makes sense to me now, since Green will not be able to back up Kawhi as much as he used to, and Simmons can do it sometimes, but now he has to play the 2 as well... and really Simms is not matchup proof, the tall/skilled guys can easily shoot over him which sets him up to have to foul someone struggling to contain someone too tall/long.
You are right.
