You just don't do that to Spur's fans. Our management can be cool about it but we don't have to.

Kobe represents the worst of NBA basketball, a selfish, individualistic, criminal who got a pass. And then he goes after all that is good in Duncan. We won't oblige the false praise. He is sacrificing years of recovery for his team, the same team he was ready to dump. Kobe sucks as a person and player. God given talent wasted...

They are very salty right now because they were able to rub it in for years the "Kobe 5, Duncan 4" shtick to prop Kobe up and they haven't been able to do that anymore. It also hurts them that the media has turned against Kobe and ranked him below Duncan. They won't post under there normal Laker alt and trash the spurs because they can't handle the insults hurled back at the Lakers. Spur fans have to be smarter on here to recognize these alt trolls which is if a fan of another team starts trashing Duncan and spurs while trying to prop up Kobe it's safe to say they are a Lakers troll in disguise.

Kobe is still a huge got, and a rapist who settled out of court in my book, but the tribute was necessary IMO. So many classic battles against the Lakers, we simply don't have rivalries like we did against the Shaq and Kobe Lakers.

I was in 7th or 8th grade when this got came into the league, and even though he's an annoying bas , there's still some nostalgic sentimental value I hold for that pussy tbh. Same for Garnett.

His over the top reactions/comments about Bryant and James, in particular, is all an act. Of course he can't stand them, but he get's the song and dance and he plays along.

That said, I don't like it either and I didn't like Parker pretending "he's the Jordan of our era", when he plays with the Jordan of his era. Nor Simmons calling him "the greatest player of our generation". These guys should know better. You'd never hear anyone associated with the Lakers saying these things about Duncan.

You are spot-on. Narcissist on steroids because he also was a media darling. The media eschewing virtues and extolling vices is par for the course.

I still don't get this tributes from other teams. Make tribute to your players and not players on other teams. 5. Spurs are part of a collective of teams and players much like the WWE, they play against each other for the fans but they all belong to the same organization and trust each other more than they trust their own fans. They dine together before the game. It's a business. Get over it.
