That doesn't make any sense in context of what we are discussing. Everyone now (fans and media) have Tim over Kobe in all time rankings. People like Tim for the same reasons they like Manning/Russ Wilson. They dislike Cam for the same reason people dislike Kobe.
Kobe and Cam still have a ton of fans and maybe more than guys like Duncan, but in the context of this convo it's the same thing. People love to hate guys like Cam/Kobe and if you aren't winning a ton, the heat gets turned up. Cam had one great year and crumbled and handled it poorly. The heat is on. If he keeps having success, people won't hate as much.
But look at what happens when the losing sets in. Media, fans, etc....are open season on Kobe now that the losing has set in. It's not racist or unique to Cam. Cam isn't special in any regard when it comes to personality with big time athletes.
