Still waiting, slick,,,
I'm king according to you, sweetheart.
Jordan's last all-star game:
You always will be king .
Great post, UNT,,,,kobrick wasn't even a top 15 scorer in the All Star game tonight,,,,
They force fed that time and again. It's all staged bull , might as well watch WWE.
DMC,,,difference is MJ can make it,,,kobrick doesn't,,,,
I was 9 at the time... I remember we ended up winning that one though, Kobe made 2 of 3 free throws on a bad foul by Jermaine O'Neal, and we won pretty handily in the 2nd OT.
Big shot MJ. Gets kicked out of the league for a year and you know what? Still a big shot.
Just shows ta go ya.
After I washed the vomit from my mouth after that ing stage on the court where Mike hands off the torch who whomthe ever, I watched the players do everything in their power to make Mike look like a hero. They did the same for TMac in Houston but Kobe was being a got about it. Kobe tried that again a couple back and got his nose broken by Wade who I overheard telling James 'He's trying for the MVP, no". Russ is another "side award" who will never have anything else. People who play like that in the ASG make me wonder how ed up they must be to actually know in person.
He had two chances to make it. He missed the game winner. they gave him the ball every trip, otherwise the East blows them out.
I'll tell ya something:::anybody who would sit there and watch an ASG needs the livin' beat out of 'em.
Anthony Davis 12-13 shooting yet was 8th in minutes on the team?
Here's to swimming with bowlegged women, Dale.

It's gross. I see 'em here sometimes. Can ya imagine what it looks like naked?
Gets even better when Brodies wife comes with him to bid him farewell. She does a fantastic job here. It's her moment and she takes it and nails it. She feels the death knell close, but, is powerless to convince her husband of it, so, she speaks of it, but, mostly for her benefit, to keep from going mad, taking a fit and demanding that he not go. Her distance from Shaw is important. He sees her. Sees her see him and mocks her. He has no need for women. His lover is the shark, needs to roll around with it, "make love to it." --- has no intention of donning that life jacket. The affects of the Indianapolis have followed him for over 20 years. Nothing has changed.
Again, I concur. Love when Mrs. Chief does her farewell. And, the USS Indianapolis story is by far the best part of the movie. But, a close 2nd for me is.....
"You all know me. Know how I earn a living. I'll catch this bird for ya, but it ain't gonna be easy. Bad Fish. Not like going down to the pond and catching Blue Gills or Tommy Cots. This shark......swallow you whole. Little shakin, little tenderizing....and down you go. We got to do it quick. That'll bring back the tourists. But, it's not gonna be pleasant. I value my neck a lot more than 3 thousand bucks, Chief. I'll find him for three, but I'll catch him and kill'em for 10"
For that you get the head, the tail, the whole damned thing.
Quint is the ing man tbh....
And the calm way he tells Brodie to put out the fire...."Chief, put out the fire." That little part, that line, never grows old.
& Murray Hamilton as the mayor. GD, he's so ing good. A regular politician. A cutthroat bas . But the actor does his duty and we're left his masterpiece. "Only way we can really be sure." - Brodie, shrugs and buddies up to Hamilton for a bit,,,just a regular guy, he ain't a hero 24/7. He's susceptible to stupidity...about splitting the shark open to see the stomach contents.
"I have no intention of some half ass autopsy and of seeing the Kinter boy spill out all over the dock." - Hamilton always the calculating politician.
And the overhead shot of Shaw at the helm and Dreyfuss below playing cards on the deck. Just a beautiful shot. Reminds me a little of the movie "Mutiny on the Bounty" there. Lit perfect in light and shadow. Just a Sunday cruise, hot and sunny.
What a film.
Yeah Quint tells Hooper to stop playing with himself during that scene with him on crow's nest.
You ever see the do entary on the movie?
Did you know Shaw and Dreyfuss really hated each other on set? That's one of the reasons why their relationship in the movie is so good. They were both trying to "one-up" the other the entire movie.
The scene where Quint chugs the beer and crushes it....followed immediately by Hooper chugging the cup of water and crushing the paper cup. It's just brilliantly done IMO.
No, but, I read the book on the filming. And it's pretty good. They had a uva time with the islanders stealing from the production. They had to hire outsiders to come and watch over it at night. And it was cold as . You'd never know it though. Just outstanding.
Shaw was having big time tax problems in the UK at the time and he was miserable over it.
The part where Brodie grabs his knap sack, runs to the deck and takes out his .38. Just human, just man instinct there. I'd do the same gd thing. You've got nothing else between you and savage death. He doesn't over play it, just scared to death. There is nothing else.
Good notice on Shaw and Dreyfuss. And you can tell with Dreyfuss...he doesn't quite hide it enough. You'll hear about these humongous feuds on the tv shows and films and you think back and you didn't notice anything out of the ordinary. I marvel at that. Look at us here. HA. We couldn't do it for 2 minutes must less an entire movie shoot. " you, &."
" you, Dale."
"C'mon, fellas, be serious I have a movie to shoot."
" it, I ain't doin' it."
LMAO!!!
