Harden is trash. The Roxs would be fine if they played through Dwight imo. Harden isos are going nowhere fast.
No way to paying him 30 mil a season when he is hurt and declining. Harden is still young. Isoball, who is there to score when they arent playing Isoball? Not Brewer, not Beverley, not Lawson (who is a bust) , Thornton doesnt get any playing time under Bickerstaff, not Jones, Motiejunas probably wont play again this season. So who else is there? If you keep Dwight, same problem exists. No one else will score.

Iso players can be reined in IF they have the right coach. Look at the work Pop did with SJax or RC with Ellis and VC. The key is at ude. Even though Ellis was still a bad team-mate overall RC got him to commit to the Dirk?ellis pnr in the clutch for the most part with some Ellis iso mixed in. Plus Harden is younger. if you gonna keep paying max money to a star you want them in their prime or entering it not someone on the decline.
It's the poor man version of the Kobe/Shaq dilemma (with less beef) at the time Shaq was the easier player to build around ...but still just like with Kobe, long-term you choose Harden.

There's absolutely no way the Rockets should keep Dwight, long-term..he's already declining, and considering that he has a very low skill-level, he's going to continue deteriorating at a fast pace(not to mention he's injury prone, nowadays)..

Harden's style of play is toxic, but he's a monster player, tbh..sometimes players need to fail a few times to realize that they need to change their mindset, and/or they need a new coach/system..the Rockets just have a cancerous environment, right now, with too many limited players playing big minutes(Beverley and Brewer, in particular, neither guy should be anything more than an 8th or 9th man), and players not giving enough effort(Ariza, Harden, Lawson, Howard on some nights, etc)..

Hard-ass coaches like Thibs are becoming antiquated in today's league, but some teams really require it IMO..the Rockets are one of those teams..

Kobe was right..i can't say that enough......

Dwerty left LA after being mentored by Kareem.....he went to Houston and then played for one of the greatest big men in NBA History in McHale... Then Hakeem one of the top 5 players in NBA History the best low post scoring big man in NBA History and the NBA all-time leader in blocks shots also mentored him and worked out with him and this FACE still has no game what-so-ever....he should be ing embarassed to still be playing to be honest...its a disgrace....I've never seen such a clown at this level before....there is no helping this guy I totally beleive there are some major issues being masked by a smile and jovial personality...

Who knows maybe he was exposed to Lead poisoning as a a child....

ya, Kobe definitely sniffed out the pussy in Howard..

He could with a soft player like Pau because he knew the talent was there, but it wasn't worth it with Dwight..

This. When he is rolling not even curry matches him because of the fouls he generates. Not saying I wouldnt still take Curry but when harden is on he is getting 3's, racking up assists, getting the other team in foul trouble and in to the penalty. Just needs a good stromg coach and I think thibs would be great for defense/effort I think Harden needs a offensive mind that can sell him on him being even more deadly by giving up the ball more. Like CP3 both generate plenty of offense and are technically efficient but because they both dominate the ball It hurts them sometimes as well especially against good defensive teams like the Spurs.

I know he would be different but I sometimes wished Pau would have pushed back on Kobe some more. Every once in a while when kobe went to far off the rails with shots he would whine about more ball movement in the media (and he was right). I just wish he would sometimes just say "I Want to the ball more and and I f I get its I will get you (Kobe) and the team better looks." It was always subtle and passive aggressive...wished he was more direct ...but I guess that is why he and Kobe got along. Would have been better for both if he was more assertive.

Just be grateful we yanked two out of Gasol. We're damn lucky we extracted that many. He's a country club Spaniard of royal blood.

Lawson wouldn't be a bust if Harden weren't there. Not one point guard in the NBA is capable of taking the ball our of Harden's hands.

You anointed him, then Media came along and put him up on the pedestal anointed. You're in a big time pickle. This is how Huey Long was in Louisiana back in olden times. They had to shoot him.

Lawson is a bust because he is afraid to shoot the ball. He gets the ball and is scared to do anything with it.

That is the thing that I find funny. people are shocked at why Lawson is trash now ...he was never a spot up shooter. he needs the ball and I thought the idea was to get Lawson to push tempo and get looks for Dwight and make HArden the secondary ball handler ...
If that is not the plan then they need a PG like prime DFish or BJ armstrong ...Lawson will never work if Harden is gonna be the creator.

Linking your failure to a career flunky like Lawson because Harden won't let him touch the ball is wasteful, dj. Harden could die tomorrow and Lawson would still disappoint. Lawson being held up as a key to this crisis is a red herring.
