IF magic take on no additional salary they are making smart moves. I know they lost Shaq but they got McGrady and Grant Hill. Also got strong consideration from Duncan ...it was the only place he considered strongly outside of SA. Plus they have favorable income tax laws, great weather. More family orientated than South Beach but close enough to get there when you want ...

Magic could be players again but it has been a while since they lured a big fish. hopefully it's not just cost cutting ...

Makes sense now, he has a team option for 2016-17 and it's a straight salary dump.

That'll go over like ants on picnic here. They were trying to deal for him themselves. They've lamented letting him walk every single day since.

To finish my point:::There was a report here early this afternoon that they were trying to trade Brandon Knight for Frye.

Is he any good anymore? I literally haven't seen him play since he was on Dale's Suns.

His season last year was forgettable with Orlando, I'm not sure how he's playing this year but I'd assume not good. A big who can shoot is a premium in the league, thank Christ the rumored deal that Bickley floated was just a rumor.

They pine after him like the prodigal that didn't come home. And the money he got from Orlando was negligible to the Suns offer. There is much regret here that they didn't just meet the money. They still self flagellate the $5 million that caused Joe Johnson to sign in Georgia.

So basically another Jared Dudley, then. Just what we needed, another terrible Suns castoff. Can Doc be fired now?

They should, it cost them a le in 2007 at the very least. Sarver's cheapness screwed an up and coming great team the same way Red McCombs' cheapness did to the Spurs in the early 90s.

Joe Johnson has never amounted to anything. That's a pretty big leap of faith, bum.

Yep. That 2004-2005 team was something to behold, they could drop 20 points in 2 minutes.

At the very least Frye could be used as a decoy and bring the big man at the top of the key with him.

Jamison, Turkoglu, Hawes, J. Smith... and now Frye. The tale of the over the hill stretch 4 continues in Clipperland.
