Any one of those would be great, but why would they come here to an already crowded lineup? Johnson would play the most while Manu is out and would be great for a couple of seasons to come, but doesn't look like the type who would sign up for that kind of uncertainty this season.

Don't think JJ gets bought out. I think he wants to stay in NJ and sign and extension (silly money from owner). We shall see with Marks in charge now though.

ray is a body. he doesn't really give the team anything right now

No point in signing anybody IMO..

Only spot on the roster with realistic minutes is the 4th wing, but I doubt there will be anybody available that will be better than Butler/Anderson/Simmons..Johnson, sure, but he could choose to sign with a team that will give him 20-25 MPG..

Miami should take Novak asap IMO..atrocious at every single aspect of basketball outside of shooting, but they're desperate..

I see no upside to dumping Bonner for Novak, unless Bonner is actually hurt and out.

Memphis is the team that should sign him to add a shooter.

I guess I shouldn't hold my breath for a Bertans signing. Buyout deadline is March 1st and Bertans will still be under contract. Oh well. We can still drop Bonner, if the right piece presents itself. Wouldn't mind hibbert if he gets bought out. Would rather have him play spot minutes in the playoffs instead of boban if we need size. At least he understands verticality.

Folks shouldn't get too excited about Joe Johnson, dude is basically 2008 Finley status at this point & still thinks he's a starter on a playoff team (remember how Finley requested a trade when he got demoted).

Kevin Martin on the other hand has resigned to being a vet bench player & isn't a low energy player like Joe Johnson who is basically the Boris Diaw of shooting guards.

IMO, Joe Cool is more talented & still has more left in the tank but K-Mart is a better fit.

^^ I don't want Johnson, hate his game, but if he gets bought out, somebody will give him PT in the playoffs..

Finley asking for a trade was a legendary moment on ST, IIRC..most of the posters here wanted him benched and disliked him, at that point, and then he had the audacity to ask for a trade..Pop was playing him over Bowen, too(Bowen didn't have much left, either, but still)..

Not a fan of Martin, I don't think his style of play would mesh well with the bench unit..he's never been great in an off-ball role..
