I was thinking the same thing. His ability to hold it together for his children was what really hit me. Also, this was a very appropriate thread-for someone that is part of the Spurs family.

I'm not offended at what you said but I am disappointed that Spur fans (or those that claim to be), which consists of grown men playing a game that we all vicariously live through, make light of a former Spur players tragic situation and then attempt to play it off with the usual "stop being sensitive" or "you can't police me" or better yet "who cares (stupid statement cause clearly someone does), people die all the time" bull response.

Some ppl have families and can imagine how bad a thing this would be. That plus the fact that some ppl are very familiar with Monty through years of watching NBA plus the fact that he always seemed like a class act.

Don't agree with it being on television, though. How many of us really gave a about Williams' wife? I totally understand why a lot of people who knew her did, but I couldn't have even told you he was married before he was widowed.
