Probably means bonner is done for the year.
Probably means bonner is done for the year.
Those teams are just put into the discussion to up his value. Every free agent says that. Nothing to see here.
Warriors however just have Bogut and Spreights. Ezeli good be gone for the season. Bogut is injury prone. Warriors are down to one center who may not just be big enough against the Spurs or the Thunder.
This explains the Thunder's interest despite having Adams, Kanter and Collison.
Also explains why the Spurs want him despite being loaded in the front court.
Absolutely critical that GSW don't get there hands on another center.
never been a varejao fan but... he could probably fit in with the spurs with his style of play.
Yea, the Cavs don't even play him; I can't see the Spurs having much use for him. He'd only be an insurance policy for LMA getting injured at most.
Anderson Varejao is a luxury, not a necessity. Besides, they already have a garbage time big named Boban. However, if the Spurs cared about priorities, they would be in the market for a backup pg and/or sf though.
I'm trying to imagine a situation other than a season ending injury where he would be remotely useful.
Diaw showed glimpses of 2.0 last night, but if it was nothing more than a fluke... I wouldn't mind a combo of Varejao/West coming off the bench
If he can't get minutes on the Cavs, then what does he bring to the Spurs?
I like him as a player, but he doesn't make sense for the Spurs. We are already set as far as bigs go. Unless we could get a great rim protector off the bench, which at this point he is not.
What we really need is a good 2 or 3 to come off the bench.
He definitely brings more to the table than Bonner. But Boban would never play again.
Personally I would love to have Varejao for the min
Timmy has been hurt a lot lately, Boban barely plays and I hate those small-ball lineups, especially the one with Diaw/West (atrocious defensively).
Varejao could fill Splitter's void just fine and he is actually better than Splitter. Good defender, good passer and a much better rebounder.
I fail to see the downside of bringing a vet like him for min. I'd kick Bonner's useless ass in a minute in order to bring Andy.
What's your gut feeling man? If the Spurs really are interested, do you think he likes them enough to come on board?
would rather have blair
I guess if the Spurs miss a Splitter like player, then maybe Verajao is the guy.
no thanks, he's more injured than Splitter and Manu combined...
promote bonner and butler to the front office then GET VAREJAO AND RAY ALLEN!!!!
ray allen rules hahahahahahahaha
