Per Notre Dame 24/7, DE Robert Beal of Norcross, GA has UT as his leader after de-committing from the Irish.
They have done a tremendous job recruiting Robert since offering last summer, said a source. He has a great relationship with Charlie Strong and the two had a really long, impactful conversation after he decommitted from Notre Dame.
The reason for opening his recruitment back up is his sister could not get into Notre Dame and they'd like to attend the same school.

Per 24/7, Robert Beal now has a top five of Texas, Florida State, N.C. State, Alabama and South Carolina in that order.
I think Beal is gettable. He doesn't have Georgia in his top 5, and he was committed to Notre Dame. The kid wants to go out of state, and he has an excellent relationship with Strong.
Okudah coming to Junior Day is big. He hasn't shown much interest in Texas until now. Maybe the coaching changes helped.
Walker Little attending is also big. Pretty strange recruitment, everybody says Texas is a player except for Higdon.
I don't want to stir the pot, but I'm hearing rumors about a top 10 in state recruit transferring to IMG Academy. My gut tells me it's Little. I hope it's not Marvin Wilson.
Horns 247 is sitting on "positive Texas news" on Wilson.
Scout reporting Texas has offered five-star OL Calvin Ashley of Orlando, FL.
He is currently committed to Auburn.

Ok Texas, give that girl a scholarship.
The report said all of the schools in his Top 5 would admit her.
The new DB coach, Jennings, supposedly knows the family well.
24/7 reporting WR Dhailon Phillips of Lufkin will be in Austin for the Junior Day.

"How old are you?
"17."
"Mother er you look 30."
Are we going to discuss the goings on in the Kentucky legal system, or not? I'm sure TFloss would prefer to keep this strictly to recruiting, but this could have ramifications if the fishing expedition is allowed to continue.
The Kentucky situation
From Alex at OB:
a husband who wants sole custody and is obviously going for it with Gusto.
All that was indicated about Strong (not even technically 'accused') was receipt of material gifts. It's the request for his cell phone/text records that, when coupled with the perceived intentions of the husband, give the indication it could be some kind of murky situation but that's all- an indication.
I didn't know anything about this until just now. ...I hope this is nothing. Gonna be hard to convince parents you are a stand up guy if you were a married man banging a trustee's wife.
I saw this late last night and wasn't sure if it was even a real do ent.
Hopefully this is the husband doing everything he can to destroy his wife's reputation while getting sole custody of his kids, but at the very least Charlie was dumb to take gifts from another woman (if that's what he did).
Strong's statement:
"I was recently given information regarding a marital dispute between a couple I know in Louisville. I'm not a party to their divorce and have received no court order in this case. I certainly respect the legal system, and if I do receive a court order, I will review it and respond then. Since this is a legal case, it wouldn't be appropriate for me to say anything further at this time. I do want Longhorn fans and supporters to know that this will not affect my focus in any way. My number one priority is getting this team ready to compete at the highest level. We are doing that now and will continue to do so.
24/7 reporting CB Kobe Boyce of Lake Dallas could receive and offer, and make a commitment, at UT's Junior Day on the 27th.

RB Kelon Wilson and LB Riko Jeffers of Sachse will be in Austin for the Junior Day, per 24/7.
Great news! I remember seeing his tape a few weeks ago and I came away pretty impressed. I have no idea where Texas is sitting with Calloway, so I think this is a good offer (if he get's offered).
Yep.... He a bad a$$! Physicality is off the charts.
