So you gonna dump Bonner for him?
Otherwise, no.
I'm pretty sure Kevin Martin would be a better option than Simmons dribbling the ball off his feet.![]()
So you gonna dump Bonner for him?
Otherwise, no.
It's not like Bonner has contributed anything this season.(Manu's injury has now made it more imperative to sign a scoring guard)
I don't want to jettison anybody but Bonner (may the Red Rocket rest in peace). But if we dump him, I'd much rather get Martin than Varejao or Joe Johnson.
The only way Bonner leaves is if he retires on his own.
Considering that Bowen got traded, nobody outside the Big 3 is safe.![]()
He got some Tiagoitis symptoms too which is worrysome.
Considering the Spurs had every opportunity to amnesty his useless ass from 2012-14 and chose not, it's safe to assume he stays unless he chooses to retire of his own accord. Cant break up dat big 3+1.
You are talking about the same franchise that gave Jefferson a 40 mill contract after he was a no show in the playoffs but they still ended up dumping him for Jack.![]()
With Sean Marks now gone, the front office could use a stretch 4 like Bonner.
That was a wink wink deal so he'd be easier to trade. Imagine if he had taken his option.
His deal would have expired by the time he was traded![]()
And the Spurs would've been paying tax the whole time
And/or would not have been able to sign anyone else![]()
Bruh, PATFO re-signed him b/c it's hard attracting free agents in their primes to SA.![]()
What a brief, de able time for the Spurs, that era of .
Thank goodness it ended the way it did. Even with Pop waiving SJax...
Now is a mole for the Spurs, whatever team he's on.
When that rube enters the floor nowadays- I know good things are going to happen for our Spurs.
Edit: I wish he was on the Warriors...
No. That wasn't it. You'd need some understanding of the cap to comprehend the move. There is no use in your trying.

The Warriors are atop free agent center Anderson Varejao's wish list and he could be signing with the club soon, sources told Yahoo.

Varejao is probably coming to us while Festus is out
No offense, but he would be an idiot to choose the Spurs over the Dubs if he wants a ring
He wont replace Festus tho, he does the same things for us that Duncan does for you guys
Well, it was a somewhat trade. I'm sure there was an understanding that bruce was planning to retire as he did come September of that year, before season started. Never suited for bucks.
Couldn't Vaerejao start for your Lakers? He definitely would be an upgrade over Hibbert.
Bonner is in the same boat as Bowen b/c the guy is essentially retired.![]()
Makes a lot of sense to be stuck w/ a guy that was under performing for 4 seasons rather than trading his expiring contract to a team w/ a cap space by throwing in the 1st rd pick they gave up to dump him on the Worriers (that's what the Cavs did to dump Varejao & his contract wasn't expiring).![]()
's so called team friendly 4 year contract (which was dubbed the worst contract of the summer) was so ty they were only able to move him for washed up Stephen Jackson (whom the Worriers wanted to get ride of by all means necessary) ONLY after throwing in a 1st rd pick (ended up being Ezeli).
If PATFO were confident they could attract FAs the 's extension (so called "wink, wink" deal) would have NEVER happened.
Looks like the Spurs are going to try to convince Vareajo to sign with them instead of the Warriors.
