The greatest player of his era lead his team to missing the playoffs?
Nope.
17 - 17.
Far from some History Channel nonsense, currently leading a 45-9 team.
Soon to be 18 - 18.
Thank you.
I might have thought the two wins over the Lakers only counted for a half a game each.
Is that almond headed guy on their team Kayne West?
He sure tries hard for attention.
I think we need to get Laker fans in here to answer this question. They sure do seem to know alot about Timmy. Even going out of there way to try and research whats going on in his life.
Runnin just as fast as they can......
been getting ass plowed for 17...
I got him at 0-3
Charlie Hustle
Amy
The Mexxxican
And still worth 500 mill less than my
The question was how many times has he missed the playoffs. No long statement needed. Just a number.
Odd then that he still has as many as Kobe.
At least he hasn't had to defend his lottery picks multile years in a row.
Has Jimmy ever defended his ass ?
Once the Spurs officially clinch, they'll be 19-19 in the TD era.
and so they did clinch.
19-19.
Wonder how this compares to other legitimate all time greats?
Bill Russell
Wilt
MJ
Shaq
Allen Iverson
Bird
etc
Its hard to miss the playoffs when you have the best coach ever and always have the best supporting cast
First, Duncan really doesn't have the best supporting cast. MVPau and Shaq did, Lebron did for a while as well.
Second, the supporting players were great, Duncan was even greater, even at an advanced age, so can't help but appreciate the greatest of Duncan.
Third, thanks for the compliments on Pop, he really is pretty good, but I'd say he was a better manager of people than coach.
Far from living rent free, Duncan has invested in ing real estate inside your head.
Pop wasn't a great coach from day 1 he was actually very average to mediocre. Pop didn't become truly a great coach until the Mid '00s. Prior to the mid '00s Pop was clueless when it came to the offensive end of the floor. The Spurs offense when Pop started coaching was basically give the ball to Duncan and get the out of his way which is far cry from the 2014 spurs offense.During the '99 season he almost got fired due to the spurs terrible 6-8 start. If it wasn't for Robinson,Avery Johnson, and Duncan rallying the team to win a big game against Rockets that year Pop would have been fired. On top of that Duncan went to management to show support for Pop. Duncan made Pop.
Always loved this re argument even last season he was our best player come playoff time.
It's tops among other all-time greats.
2/10
Trolls gonna troll, I guess, but you could at least try and be original. The "best supporting cast" bit has been played out and debunked ad nauseum.
MJ had the best coach ever.. wait wasn't that Kobe? Wait..
Players make coaches appear to be great. If you had to list the top 10 coaches of all time in any sport, you'd not list coaches of teams that haven't won anything.
