Harlem hit the nail on the head on this one, although I didn't think he said anything that wasn't known to any culturally aware person tbh. Of course Curry's more likable because he's light-skinned, looks like a teenager aka friendly/not dangerous, speaks eloquently, is not physically imposing or covered in tats, and comes from an upper-class family with a former NBA player in it. It's a perfect narrative for the NBA. He's the perfect 21st Century poster-child for this league.
Could be also because he doesn't have gang tattoos on his face and speak in ebonics, or throw gang signs during the game. Also one of the few black men in the league and country who are actually raising their kids.
