You're wrong. Go back to 2014 got.
I hate to write this and I hope I am dead wrong, but I think the Spurs' record is misleading. Yeah they've only lost 9 games, but 4 of those losses have been to the top teams in the league. They lost to OKC, Cavs, Warriors, and Clippers. I know it may sound absurd to say this, but I don't think they're as good as their record indicates.
Its crazy to say that a 47-9 record is misleading, but its my honest opinion. The Spurs are one of five or six very good teams in the league. There is huge gap though between the very good teams such as the Warriors, Spurs, Cavs, Thunder, Clippers and the rest of the league. The Spurs are very good and better than the rest of those 24 or 25 teams in the NBA, but are probably on the same level as the Thunder and Cavs and just a step ahead of the Clippers.
If it came down to a seven game series between the Spurs against the Warriors or Thunder or Cavs, I don't think the Spurs would have an easy time against those teams. I don't think they would be able to win against the Thunder or Warriors because of the matchup problems those teams present.
That's why I say their record is misleading. They can improve. They don't have that same flow like they did in those 2012/2013 and 2013/2014 seasons. I'm just saying. Again, I really hope I'm wrong.
You're wrong. Go back to 2014 got.
Thanks for that mature response.
Lol. No mercy for pussies.
They also beat the Clippers and Cavs. Played OKC in the first ing game of the year and barely anyone has beaten GS. gtfo
Sorry. Thought this was a troll thread...
You could argue the Warriors are the ones lucky to have the record they do based on record in close games. Spurs record is actually pretty fair, if not a loss or two higher than their point differential would indicate.
This....100%
Their record just like worriers record just shows the state of the league. Barely mediocre teams are breaking winning records.
league that's all
The Spurs in 2014 lost almost every regular season game against elite teams and they went on to win it all. Your reasoning is off son. The Spurs not only have an amazing record, they are also the team with the best pt differential. They are really, really good.
+1,000
What I noticed from watching the Spurs games this season is that they are hiding tricks up their sleeve throughout the season and saving it for the playoffs. I can't explain it but I can just tell from their body language in the games.
You posted this on a night where they just beat the juggernaut Kings on the road. You should have waited until they lost before posting this thread. The responses would have been much different.
As of 2/25/2016, the 2014 Spurs would smash this team in a seven game series.![]()
He actually posted it while the Spurs were struggling against Gay and Rondo, tbh. And the replys came at the same time.
Do you understand what you just said? Playoffs and Regular season games are totally different you stupid . If I was basing the 2014 and 2016 RS teams the 2016 would win hands down got.![]()
If only the Spurs biggest rival to ring would be a Lebron led team. I could already be celebrating the 6th, tbh.![]()
Was thinking this today...its the only reason the Warriors have such a record....there's just simply not that many good to great teams in the league...
There's no way they'd pull this off when the Bulls did
Which were the super teams of the 90's, tbh? Reggie Miller's pacers, Gary Payton's Sonics, John Starks' knicks?![]()
This is 2011 all over again, the league is extremely weak right now and the Spurs mostly beat up on poor teams. This team isn't even a lock to get out of the 2nd round despite being on pace 65-70 wins.
I would take 2012-2014 Spurs over this year's team any day of the week.
