Clearly they haven't been watching games lately.
Danny has his bad moments, but overall he sides his feet, has great hands, and his positioning is incredible. Now that's on the ball; off the ball he has work to do. But some of the other guys I listed struggle just as much as Danny on close-outs (because they sink to far in the paint.) Also, Paul and Butler would be ranked higher than Danny if they didn't have to carry the load offensively. Maybe I misunderstanding your point though. Care to explain?
I was referring to MoSpur's post. Must have multi-quoted you in the process. Carry on.
Sigh, going to likely sign with a le contender.
Cavs - Probably replace RJ
Thunder - Probably as backup to Roberson
Don't think the non-contenders like Raptors, Heat, Celtics are in the cards unless he's looking for something long term.
The is Sean Marks doing buying out Joe Johnson and making a contender a little better. Johnson probably won't be the difference between either the Spurs or Warriors winning the championship, but it's a risk you don't take.
His agent is a 1st ballot HOFer![]()
Looks like the Heat have emerged as the favorites to acquire his services.
Well, if he goes to Miami, then it shouldn't matter. Let's hope.
Not surprising JJ still feels he deserves a lot of minutes. There was never a chance that he was gonna sign here anyway
Yeah him looking at his playing time as a factor means he was never going to come here.
Heat-bound..Makes sense from playing-time perspective..
Chose PT and a possible new contract over a ring. Can't blame him. He needs to feed his family![]()
Good move. Kept him from going to a real contender.
I will never quite understand a guy not wanting to put himself in an opportunity to win it all. If he had stayed in Phx who knows what would have happened and now he gets a second chance and he goes to the Heat? Thank god us Spurs fans have been spoiled, with a few exceptions, with guys who just want to win for the last 20 years.
Latrell Sprewell must be Joe Johnson's spirit animal.
He's getting a new contract regardless and he would have gotten playing time in Cleveland. I'm just surprised Pat Riley's influence trumped Lebron.
Yeah, I meant long-term.
That's the rumor that i've read on a Heat forum. Not sure if it's totally reliable but : "Rumor: Miami Heat has promised Joe Johnson a long term deal and prominent role. Joe Johnson is one of the players Dwyane Wade is willing to work his contract around this summer."
It's harder to recruit when you're in Cleveland and not Miami
Can't fault a guy for trying to get more money. It would be hard to say no to a long-term contract guaranteeing more money.
I expected Kevin Martin to land in Miami but it looks like Joe Cool still thinks he a legit starter on a playoff team.![]()
They almost handled the warriors without Bosh. The heat in my opinion have simply under performed. I think they can easily upset any team in the east. The development of Winslow and Richardson is nice to see and encouraging for their playoff hopes.
Heat will give Cavs a run for their money in playoffs.
I respect that he wants to be a piece instead of a throw in for a championship
I don't care about his or Martin's negatives. We are too inconsistent and go through too many lulls to not try to land a reliable shooter
So now Cavs move to the top of the list of suitors for Kevin Martin? Cavs, Mavs, Rockets? Tbh, this is the guy I would like to see the Spurs bring in. It's not like Ray will help us at all this season, and we don't seem to be interested enough in him to re-sign him. Or maybe Bonner is done.
According to Woj, Spurs had interest in pursuing Johnson.
