And it still wasn't nearly enough to pay for the great service he did for the Lakers. The organization should rename Staples Center the Kobe Bryant Center, give him a 51% share of the team and build a replica of the Christ The Redeemer statue with Kobe's head on it outside Staples.
Think about it, without Kobe at the helm of the tanking process, we might have been stuck with career losers like Dwight or Aldridge and we miss out on a great crop of young talent who will most certainly restore the Lakeshow to its former glory.
Also, building a team through the draft is a long and ugly process but Kobe is so selfless and generous that he decided to draw the attention to himself by announcing his farewell tour, generate hype and still put butts in the seats during tanking season.
In a way, Kobe Bean Bryant is like Jesus Christ. He died (retired) for our sins (tanking).
Kobe is a God, an awesome God. Now watch this life changing video and let us pray 7 Hail Mambas.

It's true, Kobe knocked out of the playoffs for the last time at age 33, Jesus nailed to a cross at age 33. Both such ignoble ends to overhyped careers.
I really might be on to something. This is prophetic.
I'm dead serious.
How is Aldridge a career loser?
Like Jesus, Kobe was lifted up with a few bums around him and skewered by Warriors.
$900 just to get into the nose bleed seats on the final kobe game.
WTF is that Rose Byrne?![]()
OP would let Kobe his wife if he asked imo
Jennifer Connelly
Missed almost the full season last year and the year before, shoots 35% from the floor on a horrible team this year and gets to retire.. Earned.
