    In the Tim Duncan era, 19 years including this year, the Spurs have won at least 50 games all but one year. That year the Spurs only played 50 games and went 37-13 and won the le. They even managed to win 50 games in the other strike shortened year going 50-16. Just an incredible run, by the best organization in sports. 17 straight years of 50 win seasons. With Kawhi still improving, Aldridge fully integrated, and the Spurs FO penchant for finding the right parts year after year, I can see this streak going for another 3-5 years.

    Here's to our Spurs. Cheers!

    Are the differences in numbers a fair indication of the differences in contribution?

    Duncan > Manu >>>>>>>>>>> Tony ????

    My son ran the math to figure out the percentage of wins for an 82 game season necessary to reach 50 wins and applied it to the Spurs record in the strike shortened seeason. Spurs were well ahead of the percentage that year and would surely have made the 50 games had they continued on the same path for the rest of a regular season.

    A record of 37-13 out of 50 games equals 60.68 wins in an regular 82 games season. So, they wouldn't have broken the 50 wins mark, only the 60 wins mark

    Since everyone like to * that season for the Spurs championship, I have an * for us to put on that year. WE WON 52 games that season. 37 regular season and 15 in the playoffs. So maybe we should claim that *. How about it Laker trolls? Can we get it? LOL

    So by your logic, Duncan > Manu > Danny > LMA > Parker >> Kawhi?

    In the context of the big 3 obviously.

    MORE IMPRESSIVE FEATS:

    * Spurs have 19 straight years winning 60% of games
    * 19 straight years winning record on road
    * 19 straight years 1st or 2nd in division

    * 26 of last 27 years winning better than 4/7 of games (57.1%) , 12 games over .500
    * 26 of 27 years in playoffs
    * 26 of 27 years 1st or 2nd in division

    Like to see research how Celtics and Lakers compare to this, or if even any college teams have done it.

    Most impressive streak since the Celtics won eight championships in a row, tbh.
