Ndoye is a center. He'd be the tallest player on the team besides Boban. He's not going to play next to him. He's more of a fifth big who has the upside to be an average fourth big who could randomly have some great games. It's nothing to get excited about, but locking him into a three-year deal at near the minimum would be a great way to hammer down a roster spot while the team chases bigger free-agent game.

Probably means they are done with caddy caddy as a center.

Ndoye is the center. He isn't going anywhere except possibly San Antonio at some point. Cady LaLanne is a PF, working on his three ball to become a stretch 4. Unfortunately, his shot has been going south after a good start. Maybe he hit the rookie wall in the D-League.

I watched him last season since he joined Austin late after a contract overseas, like he's doing right now. He just reinforced the team fir the playoffs. Has no upside, is slow and unskilled. Boban is infinitely better and Ndoye is a lot more agile and athletic. Trust me, I watched Sene.

Even his "highlights" posted in this thread are underwhelming (to be euphemistic). Glad you confirm he is not a legit prospect - one fewer names to remember.

Thanks for finding and posting Saunders' highlights. When players are traded between D-league teams, obviously no rights are owned or acquired by their NBA affiliates; however, do you think San Antonio had a hand in this move?

I kind of doubt it since these guys aren't at the level where parent clubs would notice them much. They might have just been doing Wright a solid to get him playing time somewhere else. They may need a little more depth at guard if Orlando Johnson gets called up again.

I wasn't thinking that SA initiated the trade. I guess it is more a question of autonomy. I wonder if Austin has the autonomous authority to make trades without running them by the SA front office?

BTW, I was not aware Orlando was called up. Who called him? Did he do any good?

It's all interconnected. The GM of the Toros usually has an additional job in the NBA Spurs. Sean Marks' Spurs job was in player development; the current Toros GM, Brian Pauga, is Director of Scouting for the Spurs. The short answer is I'm sure trades are run by RC, but I'm also confident that he's much more interested in keeping some players on than others and the Wright/Sauders trade was just rubber stamped.

BTW, I was not aware Orlando was called up. Who called him? Did he do any good?
1 OK game and 1 bad game for the Suns. He's back on the roster but didn't play today after getting a game winner the previous game.

Sad to see Johnson go, but he was really not in the long-term plans anyway.

Incidentally, have I mentioned how much I resent Atlanta assigning guys to Austin? Tarvares is just killing the development of Cady and Ndoye.

I thought he pervious signed for another NBA team (was it the Suns?). He's been gone for a while now.

Perhaps a time or ten. But I agree; it is incredibly irritating. Maybe that means that Bud is gonna do us another good turn this offseason.

Eh, it may keep Ndoye under the radar a bit to lessen the compe ion for an SL slot, though he's still pretty productive off the bench.

The Spurs owe the Hawks for the Splitter trade. This is the very least they could do.
