Kinda had a strange feeling the Spurs were gonna go after him, which is why I posted this thread when I read the Timberwolves were open to buying him out. I'm okay with it. I doubt it hurts the team. It might help the team, but isn't likely, but its just a rental that won't the team.
He played well in OKC until Westbrook got injured & he was forced to be the 2nd option.
Dude shot 51% on corner 3s that season on a large sample size.(Danny/Marco/Patty/Manu/Bowen have NEVER shot higher than 47%; only Kawhi this season is shooting above 50% along with Danny during the two Finals runs
And then OKC dumped him instead of trying to keep a big three lineup ala Harden.

Doubt it. I'm sure he was just showing up for practice as like any other normal practice.
Why practice when you should be at the negotiation table?
Because you have an agent and are still under contract?
Its not a for sure thing that he is bought out. He has to show up to practice just in case they can't come to an agreement and he has to remain a part of the team until the end of the season.
He needs to stay sharp b/c he will be thrown into the fire right away ala Joe Johnson. Plenty of players get pulled from shoot-around let alone practice when they get traded.

That would really help your position; abandon your contractual obligations to peddle yourself in a boardroom. Yeah the Spurs would love that mentality.
This isn't a trade, it is a buyout.
You know its easy to talk about its easy to sum up when you're talk about practice, practice man...practice...
But Kevin isn't supposed to be the franchise player so unlike the answer he has to go to practice.
Duh! What I'm saying is that teams let players that are bound to get traded practice or even participate in shoot arounds till the last minutes despite the risk of injury which isn't an issue for buyouts.
