If he can keep it up for 6 years, yeah probably.
Just was looking at the list and Lebron (26,298) is only 12,089 points back of the leader, Kareem (38,387). I think health holding, there's little doubt that Lebron could break the record. But he'd have to play to a time that he's probably far removed from prime Lebron. Would he want to do that and for how long? Unlike Kobe, who was not 'the man' for years, he has always been the man. And unlike Kobe, he has always been on good teams. Could Lebron handle not being such an attraction on a bad team? What would be the motivation besides points for him to make him want to keep hanging on? Dollars? It's conceivable that his legacy and subsequent income is better served by not hanging on too long. So, thoughts?

He's breaking down at 31, doubt he makes it six more years.
Lebron isn't nearly what he used to be.
He isn't going to have the career longevity that kareem enjoyed.
it's not much of a record tbh, don't know if he'd care. he certainly could..
