No, I still say there on the same level when you take in the whole package. The reason I thought Jimmer fit better w/ the Spurs is he has a higher IQ and actually can run an offense at a marginal NBA standard.
Problem with Jimmer is he thinks he is a superstar player. If you read Re s testimonial while with Orlando, he said in an interview that he had to realize that he was not going to be a star player like he was at Duke and needed to learn to cope that he was a fringe player. When he finally did, he decided to devote himself to that role. Dude was playing lights out in January playing that role, even had a 40 point game. Same could happen for Jimmer if he just adjust his at ude. His D league stints and play just confirms that he still wants to be the man and still plays like it. That is what teams are balking at IMO.
I'll admit it would be funny, but it would just show how clueless the Knicks organization is and why the continue to suck. It says a lot about Ray when the Spurs cut him when he was on a favorable deal and could be restricted this offseason. And you sign a 39 yo player to boot.
