Article on Miller
Quotes from Pop:
"His basketball IQ is off the charts," Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said. "What a pro. Tough minded, disciplined and he'll pick up things very quickly."
Popovich said he had been following the 17-year veteran's career for a while, and he always thought Miller would be a good addition to the Spurs.
"He's one of those players you look at and say, boy, I could figure out how to fit him in ... , because he has been such a great player for several teams," Popovich said. "He's just a pro, the consummate pro."
Spurs to open assisted living center next to practice facility
Assisted living? There's one accross the street of the practice facility!😀
All I gotta say is he looks REALLY slow.
Zero points, a couple boards and an assist. Meh
Hes just getting into game shape![]()
8 minutes guys. Chill.![]()
I'm convinced he's just here to be in the role as a players coach.

Situational player but very experienced. Will be ready if you need him.
I have said, he's a slo mo mentor.
Too bad he couldn't be a Spur earlier. IQ is off the charts.
Defense looked about as good as I could have hoped. It was bad, but at least he'll make up for poor on-ball D with some steals and deflections. Really want to see him get better on O.
8 mn, first game after having been signed two days ago... his play deserves absolutely no comments whatsoever
That hook pass he threw cross court to patty on the corner was really sweet, reminded me of manu
Once he gets up to 10-15 minutes a game, then we'll judge.
I doubt he will get 10-15 mn a game on average... depends on point differential entering second half of 4th quarter tbh which is quite different than what would be average PT for a guy like KMart (if we sign) but you already know that
+1 and i was saying to myself, that's exactly why he was brought here.
Less of an issue when the positioning is good. Anyway, he's a spot bench player.
I was just reading that apparently hes only missed 3 games in his entire career due to injury. He didn't take any shots at halftime shootaround, he was under the basket studying each players shots.
He looked great for his first game. Funny, you could see the wheels turning in Pop's head while Miller was on the floor. I think he is going to enjoy experimenting for the last part of the season.

How interesting. A lot was said above about his personality, as he seems to be a strict professional, but has his quirks. Maybe to get a sense about what shots guys like?
[QUOTE=SAGirl;8455492]Entirely possible. He has been the PG for at least 7 teams and had to adjust to many players sweet spots. Excellent for his passing on the court and also helping the other younger players spot them.
Yeah, just like Greg Maddux.
