The poster you're quoting is usually wrong about everything, but never admits it, tbh..don't waste your time, he's very sensitive..
SAG learning about Fuzz and TSpence within the same week. That's just cruel.

Nah I don't like to waste time with either obvious trolls or argumentation going nowhere. I will respond to this, but probably no more bc I am not anti J.Simms and I have no interest in going in circles here.

Manu was out. Simmons played all of I think 5-6 minutes in the game when it really mattered, the rest, including his basket was in garbage time. He seemed focused in avoiding mistakes this time. No TO and no fouling, so clearly he's focused on improving. However, he was so careful to avoid mistakes in this one that his aggressiveness was not the same. He passed up a wide open 3 point shot created for him, a huge thing for him bc he's shown he can shoot, and it forced a reset. If there is an argument that really can be made for his playing time is that he's been shooting the 3 well so he should shoot more.

The other thing is they called 2 plays specifically to get him going, curling from a screen going directly at the basket. Both times he reset. He either didn't curl quick enough or his ballhandling slowed him down enough for it to be a contested shot at the basket he didn't want to take. Basically he was as hesitant and passive as Anderson was earlier in the season. Like I said he might just need time.

Next season he could improve, but the 6 or so minutes he got in this game do not proove your point bc Manu is still out of the rotation. When Manu is back those minutes won't be there.
I thought he was great. Poking the ball away and leading to a steal. Great close out to force a bad miss on a corner 3.

He reminds of Kawhi a couple of years ago in overdribbling on penetration. Kawhi owns the midrange now. Simmons needs a floater or similar pull up jumper package.

A lot of people were resetting all night Kawhi did, LMA did, Duncan did, KA did, etc. If its not there then its not there and you continue with the motion of the offense. Detroit plays good defense under SVG. The bad play is to force the issue when its not there. You see a problem. I see progress.

It's his defense that has been the problem and he did okay. Baynes had a similar progression.

When Manu comes back and is getting 20+ mpg both of your supposed head to head compe ors are going to lose minutes.

guilt by association. TSpence makes up news stories and grandstands on them. WTF does that have to do with me?

For all we know the damn buyout hasn't even cleared yet. It apparently wasn't agreed upon and send to the league until like 11:00PM EST on the 1st. That means the league probably didn't even look at it until sometime yesterday, and it's been in their hands all of one day.

Not that I don't expect it will get approved but... takes time.

Agreed...I've seen plenty of multi-million dollar beautiful Manhattan condos with multiple Window AC units in them. When I lived in Baltimore, damn near every house I've been in had window units...and these were very nice houses.
Sorry guys, but if you got window units, you are either broke or dumb

Does it keep you up at night knowing that there are Black men with central AC in their homes, tbh?

You think areas that are mostly cold have AC?
Most everywhere in Europe have window units.

I feel bad for the Mexicans here in (well I want to say El Paso, but really I mean Juarez) this border town whose AC units are simply open windows, hoping for a draft to breeze through when it hits 113 degrees.

I freaking picked up a homeless dude last year just to get him out of the sun because he was literally passing out on the sidewalk from the heat. Took him to Walmart. Got him some food and some liquids along with a seat in a place with some A/C and made sure he wasn't bugged for a good bit so he could cool down.

My wife has an Uncle in Juarez that's... man- you don't know real poverty.

Ya, that's tough, bro..I'm from poverty(Harlem before gentrification), my parents never owned a house until I bought one for them 2 years ago..we lived in a ty house with no AC, our car never had AC, etc..the humid nights were the worst..

I didn't know about real poverty until I began traveling, though..definitely makes you appreciate living in America(and then Canada, which has been even better for me)

Fist to Chest to you brother.
Grew up in dirt, bought my ma a house before she left me forever(pops left this world when I was 3). That's when you can call yourself a real man, in my mind.

Crazy respect bruddah. You speak the Truth, then you know the struggle.

I've had more than a few friends suggest a move to Canada to me, but it's been a 12 year fight to simply get my passport, up until just last month (long story and won't be posted public) so my future is up for grabs now.

It's pretty awesome being a legal citizen of your own country that you were born in and lived almost your entire life for the first time in over a decade.
