First Take: "Is Kawhi Leonard a Superstar?"

I would submit that that block of Westbrook was one of the top ten plays in the history of the Spurs given the gravity of the situation. I know it wasn't in the finals and it was a game 6. But that series was in the balance and Kawhi just crushed the Thunder's hopes with that play. I think Boris Diaw hit a three on the next sequence and the Spurs were on their way to the finals.

The eventual outcome of that play and season solidified the Spurs as one of the top five franchises in the history of the NBA with Five championships.

Here's an interesting thing (one of the few) about Skippy Bayless.

Daniel Tosh had a bit on his Comeday Central show (Tosh 2.0) where he was interviewing a VERY gay former member of the boy band Menudo. It was a very weird, awkward interview (Tosh is a good at awkward interviews) with the Menudo guy/gay- the set was made up like a bedroom and Tosh was asking a lot of questions about this guys experiences. On the night stand of Tosh was a big photograph of one Skip Bayless. The insinuation of Bayless being gay was more than obvious.

Bayless is a well paid liar - I can't believe this fool (who just makes things up) is paid millions of dollars a year by Disney/ESPN. He was a hack columnist in Dallas 20-25 years ago. I'm sorry Troy Aikman never had the chance to punch Bayless' face in, like he wanted to do years ago when Bayless was spreading gay rumors about him.

From a marketability standpoint, not so much.

Yep, the BOX OFFICE narrative is clearly leading to that conclusion. But i think Kawhi has certain persona to the fans around the league and they do take notice as of late, regarding his current ascension to super s om. The guy is a dark skin not coming from a blue blood NBA lineage, with a good guy persona that works really hard & be respectful to others, he IS marketable if the league decide to. Please don't make the same mistake that they did with TD.

Kawhi is a nice little player that shoots the three ball well and plays good defense but his lack of ability to come off a screen and get to the rim or create a shot is what his game is lacking. He's an average passer and average BB IQ. He's still young but as of now he should not be mentioned with the true greats in the league.

Manu hit a big 3 as well late.

The wonderful Westbrick shot that hit the top of the backboard after the KL strip that essentially iced the game for SA was the second most memorable play in that game TBH. Good times.

Totally missed my point. Skip has been and is a well paid liar all the way back to his Dallas days. The local writers/broadcasters can't stand the guy because of the way he conducted his business on the radio and in the newspaper before he went ESPN/Hollywood. He lacks integrity - straight or not. I fully understand he plays a role and is well paid for it. IMO he and S. Smith are a clown show. I can't watch that show.
