Prediction: dubs lose, and the disclaimer of iguodala and ezeli not playing is used anytime the game is mentioned while no one mentions the lack of Duncan in the first meeting at oracle. I'd wager klay mentions it post game just like all the other excuses he comes up with after a loss.
I agree with this prediction completely. I do think Duncan missing the last game would be brought up more if the game was somewhat close.

Since the all star break, they've been very meh anyway. Margin of victory is like 4-5 points I think. They're still winning games, but no longer blowing teams out like earlier this year.

If we take care of the ball and play spurs basketball, we should win. Idk if we'll repay the 30 point loss, but a win is a win
How do you look up their stats post-All Star break?

    Example for Players: http://espn.go.com/nba/player/splits...88/danny-green

you just have to search for either player or team "season splits"

To be fair, most Spurs fans used Duncan as an excuse in the first game, despite losing by 30, tbh

The Spurs are probably favored. Giving your bet a major advantage.

I'll take a $1000 bet for a Spurs-Warriors series at even money, tbh..

Agreed - that's what I was saying. Still good, but they have relied heavily on Curry literally bailing them out which isn't always going to happen despite his greatness. They still play well offensively in most games, but defensively is where you see the lapses.

Blowing them out is going to be tough because even a bad night for them is still solid scoring.

I would feel comfortable if Porker was out for the year but alas he'll keep dragging his corpse while hogging the ball.

    Varejao is trash IMO
He'll run roughshod on us, you watch. I thought that acquisition was a mistake. I realize you pick up as much talent as you can, when you can, but I feel like bring in an "energy guy" like him could cause more rifts than he mends.

Dn't care who plays; no having the perfect home record broken by the f'ing warriors. Had enough of their BS for one year.

Warriors defense has already been looking suspect lately...this really doesn't help.

Getting a win vs the Warriors won't be a cakewalk, but I am pretty sure the Spurs would like to win this upcoming game. GS took care of business in their arena, time for the Spurs to do the same. I do agree it looks like the Warriors are coasting, the Spurs actually seem to be getting better, stronger since the ASB. This game will be a good indicator for the Spurs of where they are at as a team.

Look, the only thing you can't do is fall behind big early. Yes, GS can coast and has allowed a few comebacks, but they won't coast vs SA.

Falling behind early to GS is death because outscoring them big when they have it going is tough. Keep it close early, no terrible starts.

If GS is hitting all those crazy shots like 3's and crap, to stay in the game you have to be able to at least come close to matching their production. I believe the Spurs had tons of turnovers in their first meeting with GS, so obviously not turning the ball over against the Warriors would play in the Spurs favor.

If your perfect home record is broken, it's best that it's broken by the defending champions. It would suck to have it broken by the Lakers.

For sure - Spurs had a crazy amount of TO's which is death vs most teams let alone GS. That alone should keep things closer.

We are going to fall behind early because we come out lethargic all the time. Kawhi doesn't seem to be settled into his role until the 2nd quarter and they start this long feeling out process where Tim is left open at the top of the circle and he cannot decide if he wants to shoot or pass. He should let if fly if he's open. Also, don't foul the 3pt shooters. If they make them they make them, don't give them freethrows.

I'd just as soon the Warriors never win in San Antonio during Duncan's career.
