And Ellis makes same money we are paying DG.![]()
I still maintain that Green started missing once they told him he set the record. He seems very resistant to knowing how good he is, which is a reason why Pop doesn't acknowledge it very often.

Green does ok until he gets in a hurry. He has several small steps he goes through to shoot, and when he rushes that, like in transition or when someone is closing out on him, he skips or rushes one and he's not in the right form or mental frame, so he misses the shot. The fact that he cannot shoot short range jumpers worth a should tell you he's heavily reliant upon a very specific programmed muscle memory and doesn't adjust well to any changes.
Monta Ellis can't defend worth and he's a team cancer imo.
my problem with Green is he is missing way too many wide open 3s this season..I don't care if he bricks on contensted/semi-contested ones, but those off transtion/ off penetration triples when he gets a couple of seconds to set up and launch only to come up short (literally) are really frustrating.
They have 17 games to work on things.
I love that Danny was put on Durant for so much of the game Saturday. I thought he played very well on D. If he can get hot on 3s for a stretch in the playoffs to go with that, things could work out well.....
In another thread about Green I pointed out that along with his shot, his defense had been bad, mainly because he wasn't putting in the effort, especially when other guards would wipe him off their pick man and skate down the lane. Dang if he didn't start putting in a lot more effort on defense, sliding his feet and trying to bust up the P&R and generally playing hard.
Now I think he's listening to either Spurs Talk (or Pop)so keep encouraging him ST. We need this guy down the stretch, doing his thing with the 3s.
Go Danny Go
I keep waiting for the Law of Big Numbers to balance everything out with Danny going on a roll. Playoffs would be a good time for an extended hot streak.![]()
He is having an amazingly bad shooting year. That just means he is going to be on FIRE for the playoffs.![]()
Green shooting motion and rim finishes looked far less clunky, to not say smoother, last season..
Let us hope that the first 5 games of the 2013 Finals weren't the complete outlier AND THIS playoffs isn't the return to the mean.

Danny keeps cashing the checks, sure he made some crucial D plays against OKC but come on he sucks, been sucking for more than a year.
He has turned into 2013-14 Thabo.![]()
Itd be great to see him get his 3 back but as far as these eyes are concerned, it is a rare feat to not let the rest of your game suffer if your offense isnt working...so props.
I sincerely hope so but I'm already hoping someone else makes up for his lack of juice. He's resorted back to being D-League Danny on offense but his D was solid against Durant. He also made some extra effort plays which was nice to see.

As someone suggested earlier Danny needs to work on his form and needs to work on being a more versatile player. I remember during the Spurs championship run when he was run off the three he would drive and shoot.
He makes too much money just to be a spot up three shooter and a better than average defensive player.
Fix it......
More energy in that video......this yr he seems slow and lazy...
The difference I'm seeing is this year Danny Green looks like he jumps forward about 2 feet with each shot, not as much in this video, also in this he's not so straight towards the basket, his right foot is ahead of his left.
is danny playing bad because he finally got paid? before he played loose, he had nothing to lose. now when he shoots a 3, it's almost like he clenches up before he releases. there is hesitation imo. i think he'll bounce back at some point... been hoping for that most of the season though. i feel like he can't not play better in the playoffs...

Let's hope he's not just bull ting, tbh![]()
If Danny is making the Spurs are really, really hard to beat.
Lol damn sounds promising but we'll see I guess. Hopefully it's not like a golf swing...you think you fixed it one day, then you go back the next day...
Still, Green doesn't have Martin's capability of going 1 on 3 in transition and slicing through the defenders like they're butter and scoring with such ease.
