I never said they'd be the best next season. I don't think they're going to repeat frankly. Also, lots of people think Elway is the third best at a minimum. , at the risk of sounding like Avante here, Wilbon believes he's the best ever.

You're a salty Raiders fan that as soon as the whistle blew in the Super Bowl you were getting excited for next season because maybe it's going to finally be the year that your team doesn't blow. To be honest, you should feel that way, I think they will be good. However, don't go around pouting that the Broncos have made the AFC West it's the last few years and have been one of, if not the winningest franchise in the last 30 years and in that timeframe has only had two losing seasons.

I agree....they don't get the press because they're in mountain time and they aren't all that interesting unless their fax machine s up. I can't get mad at spurraider for doubting the Broncos this season though, , i did myself. We Broncos fans aren't used to success coming from the defensive side of the ball. We're used to Elway coming from behind, TD running for 2,000 yards, Manning setting records on a daily basis. This was s strange run but the important thing is that it ended with a SUPER BOWL LE.

but they're easily having a poor offseason which is exacerbated by the fact that the rest of the AFC-W has done pretty well so far. chargers have made strong low-key signings like casey hawyward, travis benjamin, joseph barksdale... chiefs were able to keep most of their defense in tact (minus sean smith) and got them all on really good deals, acquired mitc schwartz, etc. raiders have been big spenders but their moves have been universally praised, unlike other big spenders like the giants or dolphins of recent years

weddle is a nice pickup, but wow thats a lot of money for a guy on the wrong side of 30 who has already shown some decline. he's still a plus starter at this point, but i think the deal was a bit much. i would have loved him on a shorter-termed deal
I think it's only like $13 Million guaranteed with all of it coming in the first two years. team should be able to get out of the deal after that without having to worry about.

Yeah, but each is only slightly above average at best in pass blocking. If they had a stronger C I don't think I'd be concerned, but without a good C and alongside effectively a first-year starter, I have a few concerns.
But with Johnson and Ellington, hopefully they utilize the running game a bit more dynamically.
