    WCFs last year.
Could have easily been tied with Warriors 1-1 if not for Harden-Kardashians gotry.

Not saying Howard can go somewhere and be #1 option.
But he has been stuck with two got ball hog shooting guards that gave him virtually no chance.

I am saying he could still be a solid #2-3 option on O and solid defensively on D. He still has the size and strength, albeit not Orlando 5 years ago.

How could he do on a team with a good coach and GM? He's got himself into two lemons in a row.

DHoward can opt out. Would he take anything less then the 23 he can get from Rocket?

He'll never be a second option in this era of small ball. Dwight's biggest strength relies on put backs and pick and roll, he'll be a solid third though. At this stage of his career, if Howard is really serious about winning, he should focus on being the best defensive player in the league. He still has a good 2-3 years left, he's still elite in cleaning the glass.

best destination for Howard is Boston or even the Knicks, though the former with his presence could potentially be a real contender in the East.

Agree with this. As a #3 he has value ...and I hate that cat ... but Celts could definitely use him their defense would be filthy. Bradley, Smart, Crrowder and even a diminished Dwight should be a top 3 defensive team.

Meant to include that ...the caveat is at the right price he would help a contender. I get why the Celts may overpay to get him if they cannot lure Durant. But anything over 15 - 18 million I would pass. But my guess he wants at least 25 million.

Dwight/LMA/Kawhi/Green/Traffic cone would set defensive records. Would be damn hard to score though.

He should reinvent himself as a defensive specialist instead of pouting when he doesn't get touches b/c he isn't a good enough offensive player to be a focal point of a modern day NBA offense. He can be a richman's DeAndre Jordan/Tyson Chandler since he can actually postup but he has to buy into it rather than going through the motions.

It would be a horrible fit personality wise but if he was on OKC, he would be getting his buckets via the WestBrick PnR (he feeds the roll man instead of kicking it out to shooters like Harden) & defending the rim better than Kanter. You have Durant doing the scoring so he won't be asked to be the 2nd option either.

You can't blame him back then since he was still at the peak of his prime (he proved it in the 2014 postseason) & the league still valued postup players. The past 2 seasons have been a reality check for him, especially last season when they won 55+ with him limping around.

I wouldn't put it past Riley to go after him as Whiteside's replacement since he's a gambling man (gave 32 yr old Shaq a 5yr extension).

He had a good series in 2014 his season was OK but it's not as if he was an effective post player. he just was bit more healthy. He still was scoring mostly off lobs his one and half post moves and in transition. he just was better athlete than evry other center and he still is outside of Deandre and maybe Drummond.

Agree on Riles he has stayed devoted to big men and is gambler. but not sure you can justify paying dwight what he wants when Whiteside is poor man's Dwight.Dwight is still the better defender when healthy though. And is the far more proven center.

Although true Howard is a disappointment ... I am really starting to see the side of the argument that HArden is more detrimental to his team-mates. For example neither Tony Parker (prime) or steph Curry are lockdown defenders or even good ones but at least they try to play defense. Sure the good PG's light them up but they at least get back on defense make multiple efforts. Harden the other night in toronto and when they got blown out a few nights later added more lowlights to his "efensive reputation" and resume. He doesnt even move his feet half the time preferring the "ole swipe/poke move" and if he doesnt get the deflection or teh foul he is out of the play ...looking to get back on offense no effort to recover to his man or rotate to help his team-mates.
I was once a Harden apologist but no more. I dont see how Rox fans can justify this. Sure Kobe would lax on defense especially as he aged but at least he competed against the guys like wade he respected. IDK what happened to the Harden we saw playing D for coach K ...and you cant blame McHale any longer. Morey keeps defending him I think he should get some of the blame too ...Harden may be the worst defender in the NBA out of players that matter.

No sure Riley is fond of Whiteside considering the dude acts a fool even BEFORE getting paid. There was a rumor about the Heat wanting to trade for Dwight during the trade deadline but the Heat had only junk contracts to make it work since Whiteside is on a minimum contract.

Whiteside must also feel some type of way about coming off the bench considering his ego.

Forgot about Gobert. Towns is sneaky athletic but I saw him do a crazy dunk in warm-ups but he doesnt play like that to me in games. he is smooth and controlled ...
