    Tim is #1 w/ 68 straight.

    Correction: It's 2nd all-time to Tim at AT&T

NBA record? (Durant has scored at least 20 in 55 straight games this season)

I know Tim wasn't a volume scorer in his prime, but 66 games still seems low. Kawhi should break that easily.

I'm actually surprised Admrial/Gervin don't have the franchise record considering they led the league in scoring, come to find out they haven't even done it 50 times.

Wow I had to go check the Admirals '94 season stats, because surely someone who averages damn near 30/game can string together more than 66 double digit games and sure enough, he had an 8 point game that interrupted what would've been 78 straight not including the next season.

It could be something as simple as an injury forcing you out of the game early to break it I guess.

Must be an AT&T record b/c I just checked Gervin's stats & he scored double figures in every home game b/w '78-'80.

Okay, I got it cleared up now:

That outlines the trouble David had at times on offense. He just didn't have a lot of go-to post moves. Teams could really focus on him and limit his effectiveness (at times, at other times he just beasted).

Duncan, OTOH, was unstoppable even when you put a double team on him, because of his ability to just warp defenses with his variety of post moves and his incredible spacing to open the floor for passes.

I was confused because the Spurs had George Gervin, who was arguably a better scorer than Durant.

When Gervin was Durant's age he was averaging 5 points more per game without a three point centric offense. I said arguable, definitely not a laughable difference. Durant is definitely a better overall player, but Ice could score.

Durant is the modern day Gervin & is actually a better scorer b/c he is an elite 3 point shooter.

So the fact that Durant at the age of 25 had the same number of scoring les as Gervin had in his career doesn't really enter into the discussion?

Using a flat stat in isolation (like points) is a terrible way to measure the impact of a player. No one is disputing that Gervin wasn't a great scorer -- you said he's arguably better than Durant.

Gervin shot a better percentage too, it isn't just points. Ice's scoring got him into the Hall and he carried the Spurs as a franchise for years. Durant is an MVP and an overall more complete player. People acting like it's crazy to put Ice in the same echelon of scorer as Durant I simply don't agree with.
