he had 0 good looks in the whole game (from 3)
He might have had two that were pretty good for him, and the one shot he hit was falling away with Aldridge in his face. It's not crazy that he could have hit enough of those to turn the game, but the Spurs' defense means that he would have to do it four times out of seven to win a playoff series. The Spurs do a better job of taking care of the ball and hitting their own wide-open jumpers and that job suddenly becomes even tougher for them.

He missed some shots he could make. But he missed bc he was frustrated by an aggressive SA defense. Can't make excuses. He was smothered.

spurs crowd held Curry in check, if you ask me. Never heard the crowd so rowdy. makes me wish i'd never let them have a taste of my enthusiasm on the defense chant, tbh. all those die hards giving it the best for the organization best summed up by lame.

Tbh Curry always seems to have off nights vs. the Spurs. Warriors are 2-7 over the last 9 regular season games following the 2013 playoffs, tbh, imho, iirc.

It's not about having an off night last night. It's about mentally screwing him for future games to come. I am beyond ecstatic that Danny Green blocked that 3-pointer by Curry because this will always make him think twice and hesitate before going for the 3 again. Another poster pointed out that Curry has never been blocked on the 3-point line and since Danny did it, this will mentally screw him so hard next time he ever faces the Spurs.

The Spurs rotated on all screens. They stopped Curry from getting cheap open looks off those screens. That is why the moving screens that GS uses didn't work. Curry was flustrated by the fact someone was always in his face. If you had watched the game closely, LMA did a great job on Curry 3 or 4 times. No Stephie didn't have an off night, he was well defended by the Spurs. Give credit when it is due.

    This.

Even LMA missed shots he normally makes. Not to mention all the easy shots the spurs missed early. Spurs didn't exactly have a pristine offensive performance.

Their offense can play better too. Their defense had a few breakdowns, their defense can play better too. Just about who executes better. That night it was the spurs.

Spurs can definitely play with the warriors.

Barbosa hit a couple of heaves he wouldn't normally hit to make up for a couple of Curry's misses.

My takeaway as well. I re-watched the game this morning. Spurs were always in control. Curry was not allowed to get a rhythm, so even his 2 open shots were not "good" shots.

If the Spurs make more of their wide open shots, it's a 20 point blowout of GSW. GSW being close late was more of a fluke. All the ESPN "writers" were just salty rather than objectively assessing the game - it was about the excuses. GSW never had control. Let's see how GSW counters the Spurs' pressure. There isn't much you can do. Spurs are long and coordinated.

GSW is not the hyper-athletic team that usually causes the Spurs problems. They just have one guy who is an otherworldly shooter. Take away Curry, they suck. And if you took away Curry from GSW and Leonard from the Spurs, the Spurs stomp GSW all day, every day.

at Warriors fans and media making excuses for that little . No one, and I mean no one, gives Wardell more trouble than the Spurs. I think he averages about 17ppg on like 42% shooting over his career against us. I still fear him and the Warriors, but when Curry sucks against SA, it has more do to with the Spurs defense than him having an off night or something.

Seemed just fine the night before...

Ya he had an off night but if you don't think the Spurs defense was a reason why..that's foolish
    You said it Coachmac! Kudos!

When he only hits one three in the 3pt contest, I'll say we didn't stop him. I've not seen that yet.

I don't know if Klay is mentally tied to Curry, but Klay seems to struggle any time Curry does. If Curry goes off, quite often Klay will as well. That could be just a factor of the defense.
