damn, what did you do?
Anyone ever passed through this city? How depressing is it.
Going to go work there for half a year and just want to know if its as bad as ive read. And how cheap is it to live in Indiana? Seems a lot smarter for me to rent a furnished house or apartment than a hotel.
damn, what did you do?
I work at refineries. Thats just where the job is sending me.
It's pretty ing bad tbh.
If you get the opportunity you should kill yourself.
just focus on the job.
then get the out.
Thats what im planning on doing. Says the city is like 80% black. Might just stay in a city outside and drive in to work.
hmmmm, what kind should he get?
Riva turbo x.... I mean Mossberg![]()
Isn't Gary in the bad part of Chiraq?
Its just south of Chicago
Off the top of my head...
Go see the Michael Jackson Family Home
Being a huge fan, I've always wanted to visit the home Michael Jackson and his siblings grew up in. I was visiting Chicago on vacation and I finally was close enough to make the trip to Gary, IN. It was easy to get there and easy to spot the tiny house on the corner of the block. All the other houses around there are in really bad shape, but this house is in pristine condition. I wonder how much of it is original? It would have been nice to be able to walk inside, but it is closed and no one was around when we were there. We stayed for about 15 minutes. There isn't much else to do but take photos.
Check out the Gary Southshore Raillcats baseball team
It is a beautiful facility located in downtown Gary, IN. Inside the ballpark is great food and fun for the children. They have a mini playground for children who get bored at the ballpark. Love the Mascots.
Stop by the Gary Aquatorium
I was so glad to find this place. Very romantic. You can climb upstairs for the view of the Lake and Chicago. Also upstairs you will find some information boards describing history of the Aquatorium, Miller Dune Beach and about beginning of aviation (which were started in here). Make sure you read all of them as well as have time to explore 2 bronze sculpture. Nice history lesson
You MUST eat at the Flamingo Pizza of Miller
AWESOME food and staff. Our favorite
place for a pizza and a beer. There are specials everyday, and we haven't been disappointed with any of the specials.
A MUST GO PLACE
Do some gambling at the Majestic Star Casino
If you like places that are dumpy and sad this is your joint! No free drinks no smoking and it just basically steals money from poor people. It's just kinda disgusting.
This casino is really average. I did enjoy that it had different levels and one level was even non smoking. I was there on a Friday and it was kinda of congested with people and smokers. I was definitely glad to find a non smoking section that helped out with not inhaling too much of the cigarette smoke.
you could see the labels much clearer if you turned on your Hue lighting system.
Gary, Indiana might be the biggest hole I've ever traveled through, and considering I live near Cleveland and Youngstown that's saying something.
Happy kids that love to sing…Beautiful Victorian houses…Women that dress as ladies…What is not to like?
bro.. sorry to hear, that's terrible.
"At least we're not Detroit"
You should just buy a bunch of Asian porno and stay in and whack off when you aren't working. Or go to Temptations and see how many bullet holes you can count.
When I read your post I thought you were Avante tbh...
RIP
Condolences bro, just another town whose best years are in the rear view mirror.
