The most ed up happened to me today.

I was just walking around at a mall, a mall that's going out of business and a majority of the people there are black. Everyone that knows me at the mall knows that I'm a pretty chill guy, generous in tips, friendly in conversations, and not one to start drama... I have better things to do with my time than start drama at a 4th rate mall.

I go into "Miracle Eyebrows" where I usually get my eyebrows threaded (LOL bushy eyebrows) and start friendly speaking to an Iranian in there who has told me she's from Iran, says she knows my mother, and knows other Irania In the past she's been friendly toward me

She doesn't understand a word coming out of my mouth, or so she was pretending. I was saying " o, how are you... where is my girlfriend (store owner)... " and she pretended not to know a word coming out of my mouth....

I was offended and surprised. I wondered if she either lied about being Iranian or was just playing dumb...either way, since I have given them plenty of business, I was highly shocked and offended, but not angry or upset... so again in Farsi I said "Don't you understand Farsi? Didn't you tell me you were from Iran?"

I get so offended that I decide to walk away and said "I'm not giving you any business anymore"... she had a frightened look on her face, as if she could actually understand the words coming out of my mouth. I never raised my voice, called her names, or heckled or bothered her.

I go to the Sears and lurk a little, and walk back.... next thing I know the dumb is sitting there in a chair, pretending to have an epileptic seizure or a severe anxiety attack. and the Mall Security Guy sees me walk by and tells me to WAIT!
Next thing I know. FOUR mall security guys tell me to chill in a corner by an oil shop, TWO Fire department guys go check her vital signs... and FOUR police officers come to ask me about what has happened.

I was in a state of shock. I couldn't believe it... literally was just walking in the mall minding my business, was friendly with this lady, and next thing I know I'm being asked my side of the story by the police officers. I was in an utter state of shock. Literally, her spineless gutless behavior put me in this unusual spot. I was getting a little paranoid that her BULL side of the story would create a problem for me when I have given that place BUSINESS and generous tips TIME AFTER TIME

In the end, no charge was filed... but I am banned from that mall for life. No worries as its a declining mall and there's 3 better malls in the city.

but DO NOT TRUST IRANIANS... this is coming from an American whose family is from Iran. DO NOT trust Iranians... the fact that an Iranian would act like this toward her fellow Iranian was absolutely mind blowing.

She will get exposed, the entire Iranian community here will know just how worthless and spineless she is. She's one of those "FRESH OFF THE BOAT" Iranians who probably came from a miserable family and is struggling to make ends meet, and will do whatever it takes to create drama, and when she gets called out on her bull , all she could do is cry and make up a HEINOUS lie.

The Police Officers were really cool, and were just doing their job, but SHAME on this wench for wasting their time, the mall securitys time, and the Fire Departments time. This was the most spineless thing anyones ever done to me, and I've met a plethora of spineless people.

I've always been a semi self hating Iranian. I like Iran, but I'm fully aware that a lot of Iranians are just shady and weird, especially those living in the United States. I've witnessed it even within the confines of my own family.

Great culture and history (Iran), but some Iranians give Persia a terrible reputation. This is one glaring example.

Has anyone ever had a situation occur like this? Where you've literally done NOTHING wrong and someone just pretends they're having a major panic attack to draw attention to something that NEVER happened?

I come from a prestigous family, we are well off and have a good reputation. She's the one with the job whose fresh off the boat and already has a stained reputation to some extent within the Iranian community.

Man, this was some ed up .

Buddy, I know A LOT of Iranian-Americans. This is not based on just this one incident. Although this is one of the most gutless and spineless things I've ever seen somebody do. I literally didn't call her a name, didn't harass her, didn't raise my voice at her, didn't cause a scene after her playing dumb or lying to me... and she sits there and fakes a panic attack for NO reason.

This was confirming a thought that already existed.
The reality is the Iranian community in America really lacks unity and cohesion, and a lot of them are lame.
Some are just arrogant about their income (Shahs of Sunent, LA, Houston)... others just pull weird nonsense like this.

It's ed up, I don't have any Iranian or Muslim friends and this is a big reason why.

In the past 8 months, two people have conjured lies about me that has raised police awareness.

I seriously don't know what is going on these days, a lot of people lack spine, integrity, guts.... the that made the Founding Fathers and the revolutionaries overthrow King George III and the mighty British Empire.

It's just ing mind blowing... where do these people come from? They don't have any pride? any sense of shame? FOTB Iranians are WHACK.

I don't know any Iranians, but my experiences with Muslims of different nationalities (Turks, Kuwaitis, Iraqis, Afghanis, etc) has almost always been bad. Just total sketchballs tbh. The one exception is a Syrian-born (fled from there 30 years ago) surgeon who taught me everything I know about clinical medicine and surgical procedures. Just a wonderful, magnanimous person and a great teacher. He's still my top job/character reference. I used to know a Palestinian guy who had a coffee shop or something next to my Godfather's restaurant back in the 90's--he was pretty chill but never really knew him that well

Dude, Arabs and Iranians and the average american muslim are hard people to do with. Very difficult. I find that most of them sketchy. I'm thinking living in the US and with Islamaphobia...their paranoia makes them tough to deal with.

But its mixed..I met this Jordanian and Afgahni dude whl I think are the nicest person ive ever met.

Maybe their reputation makes them act terrible. I dont know..many of them are tough to deal with.

We could always concentrate middle easterns in some kind of camp, maybe install a lot of showers and ovens. Seems like a good idea, wonder if anybody thought of it.

Open is absolutely right. All Indians I've met seem very impatient or anxious. Especially in their speech. They are extremely difficult to talk to and rough. There mannerisms and speech gives me the impression that they in a rush for no reason.

As for Iranians, he's right. After our country had gone to war with them, not even a decade in a half ago, they should still have some paranoia. Especially living in the country they lost to. I dont know how that feels because the us does not experience those things

As for what the op said, there always shady members of your family. More so if they're foreign, its worse. They become two faced like most of the people here on this forum aren't aware they that they are. You act one way around certain people and anOther when confronted in a different situation. Men and women can be three faced when it a sexual relations becomes a factor. The fake have no limit

Just because you haven't experienced it doesn't make it false. Don't be a pipe minded ..

I won't do business with an Iranian without a lawyer involved. I once rented space for an Iranian to operate a restaurant. He agreed to pick up certain expenses, but ended up cheating me. When I confronted him about it his response was You should thank me because now you will never make that mistake again in a business deal. I have given you an education.

    IDK about the mall thing.

But lately I've noticed at some of the convenience stores, the Middle Eastern guy behind the counter (who can barely speak English) has a name tag that says, "Todd" or "Danny".

I called customer service the other day(needed a new modem), and this Indian picks up the phone and through his thick accent, tells me his name is Anthony. Is that a popular Indian name?

Nah..I hired a guy from indian on freelancer.com to do some telemarketing gig and I instructed him to call himself David. Its easier to sell when the names are easy to remeber. Most of these callers are instructed to do get a different name.
