Yeah at the end of the day its a Zack Synder. If you like his style you will like the movie, if you weren't a fan before this film, well you probably won't like it. There is a lot of hardcore DC stuff that's cool to see in the film.
I've never liked Snyders style. Editing of his movies is horrible so pacing and flow are always an issue.

Eisenberg is next-level terrible as Luthor. He’s a twitchy lunatic pretty much from the start, and if there are any events in the story that lead to him escalating his plot to the point of creating an unstoppable monster I missed them. Eisenberg delivers every line like he thinks the villains on the 1966 Batman show were too nuanced. His face is a collection of tics, and his eyes burn with the power of a thousand ham actors. Not only is his performance unmodulated, he’s generally irritating at all times - while I don’t understand why Lex Luthor wants to unleash an unstoppable monster on the world, I do fully understand why Batman wants to ing hit him.

"Overlong, underdeveloped and almost entirely humorless, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice may please die-hard fans by pitting two DC icons against each other. Everyone else may want to wait for the next Marvel movie."

I was thinking about that last night. He is closer to Frank Gorshin Riddler then Spacey/Hackman Luthor.

I was hoping Warner Bros could make something competent to give Marvel compe ion and keep pushing them higher but those idiots clearly doubled-down on everything they did wrong with Man of Steel starting with hiring one trick pony Zack Snyder to oversee their entire DC universe.

It was poorly planned from the start. As it is now, there will be DC characters in their own tv shows that have nothing to do with the same characters appearing in the films.

I heard batman is a straight up killa in this movie and that wonder woman was pretty dope. Snyder is cool. I like his visual stuff. 300 was a beast and Man of Steel was actually, pretty darn good after watching it the second or third time. I like how dc is taking risks by taking a gritty approach in their films.

my only grip in the trailer was the revelation of doomsday and the cgi was done all sorts of wrong. one thing going for marvel films is that their super family oriented and critics usually love a good mix substance in popcorn flicks like this which marvel provides in doses...

Goddamn This dude just slayed this movie. Definitely the funniest review I've heard in awhile. Warning: it spoils everything.

I wanted to love superman so bad, but only ended up liking it. Henry Cavill was great and there were great scenes, but again, his movies just have no flow. Is just feels like a a half way done puzzle with the other pieces still lying on the floor.

Well, unfortunately the reviews coming out are pretty much as I expected. My concern was that this movie was in response to getting murdered by Marvel and they were going to try and "catch up" and create Justice League.

They didn't build a universe like Marvel and instead crammed everything into one name driven (Batman v Superman) movie and that is what most of the reviews are saying. Unfortunately predictable but still hoping to enjoy it as a blockbuster in isolation.

Whatever happened to Bryan Cranston being Lex Luthor? He would have been great imo

the first half of MOS was really good IMO, I have to give Snyder credit for properly building a unique but interesting clark kent character, everything was working and zimmer's magic gave me a feeling it would have a strong finish lol...but the fight scene with zod dragged it from a solid 8.5 to a 7, it became cluttered at that point

anyway, a lot of critics have praised the first half of BVS and in true Snyder fashion, everything came crashing down in the second half where everyone feels it became overstuffed, bloated and repe ive with action.

I'll take that with a grain of salt. We live in a pile on society. People don't think for themselves anymore. Once the bad reviews start, people are afraid to have a different opinion.
