I agree the ring and health come first but it would be pretty cool. Subtract some points since the dubs are also going to do it though.

It's very important in that it makes people happy when they go home after a home win.

Not at all. 16 wins after the regular season is the only thing that matters at this point.

In the playoffs the visiting team could be intimidated by that kind of record. But it's not that important, just a luxery if it were to happen, tbh.

They could finish 0-5 or 5-0 the rest of the home sched and it wouldn't matter. The only thing that could do some psychological damage is going 40-1 with that 1 L to the Dubs.

I don't care at all about the home streak. I mean the Spurs are technically 2nd alltime in home winning streaks despite dropping 2 of 3 home games to the Clippers in between last year in the playoffs.

Would it make a difference if the warriors went undefeated too?
That's the reason it really matters, imo.

GS: "We went undefeated at home!"
    SAS: "So?"

You know... I guess if the Spurs go undefeated at home by beating the Warriors twice here, and then manage to steal Game 1 at Golden State? It might be in the Warrior's heads that they can't win in SA. Might.

Better question is would you sacrifice the Spurs 41-0 if it meant beating GSW at Oracle and breaking their home streak?

Watch. Spurs take the only road win in Goldenstate and Warriors take the only road game in San Antonio.

Lol not even close, especially since probably 3 or 4 starters will be resting that game

Nice, but not important. HEALTH is the most important. Bubble wrap your playoff rotation until the end of the season.

The Grizzlies are in such bad shape, I don't think this will be the game.

not at the risk of playing a player that isn't healthy, however I wouldn't just throw a game away (as Pop has been known to do) either. It is the only record I can see the Spurs caring about besides number of championships.
I don't want to risk injury to get it but I would like to see the Spurs go undefeated at home. Would really like the Spurs to get the record for consecutive home wins if GS drops a home game this season.
I'm pulling for 41-0 and no B2B losses. Neither feat has ever been accomplished, and both the Spurs and Warriors have made it this far.

But I wouldn't play a player at 80% health to do it.

IMO, it's really important. Last year they didn't protect home in the playoffs and it cost them. I have no doubt this team can steal one at Oracle, and if they protect home court then they won't have to go over there for Game 7.

41-0 at home will spark a fire under the fans as well, they'll be as loud as ever.

golden state should have lost at home to Brooklyn back in November... Blatant foul by bogut on Lopez's buzz-beater in a tie game. No call, went to OT, and warriors won... They shouldn't even be in the running for a perfect home record. So honestly, as much as I've always thought 41-0 would be the (still want a perfect RRT, too)... I'd rather hand gsw the L at home and ruin it for those idiots. I'll take both tho, and 6.

With two teams in the west that are this good, the one that doesn't win the le is going to be regarded as really underachieving. In other words, I can't imagine feeling good about 41-0 if the Spurs lose in the WCF.

Don't care if they lose a game or two at home as long as they don't lose to GS. Show them they can't win in SA.

Out of the five home games left, there aren't any teams on the schedule that are going to beat the Spurs at home. I don't care if GS is 64-7, the Warriors are like the Timberwolves to the Spurs.

If the Spurs get 41-0 and the Warriors don't, that's still a pretty big accomplishment. Losing to a 73-9 or 74-8 Warriors won't really be underachieving. The Spurs will have lost to the team with literally the best record in NBA history. But... the Warriors will probably get 41-0 too so I don't think that's worth chasing. If the Spurs were the only ones going for the record, that might be a different story.
