Spurs were just on a mission that year and not going to be stopped, they were so focused they went in there in A TOUGH game 6 without Tony in the 2nd half and still pulled it off. They just were not going to be beat that year. OKC is what you said though and a big problem for the Spurs when you think of it, Russell and Durant routinely can go off on you and if they are hot that night you are probably going to lose the game.

Curry is a nightmare to guard. Spurs do good against GSW though usually but I agree I would probably take Curry first.
Spurs also won 2 games with no Ibaka..

Guarding Westbrook is like guarding prime Lebron.
He will impose physically and you'll probably get called a foul if you try hard.
Then there's Durant, who'll have clear vision for a jump shot every time.

However, Spurs as supposed to have defenders to slow them down, specially in a series.

    <3 back to back <3

First player in nearly 60 years

His All-Star Saturday outfit was MVP, as well..
    back to back headcase too.

Russell "out to prove" himself in a game that no one on the ing PLANET cares about. Shows how ing deranged he is. He's the guy at the YMCA who's team is down 13-2 in a game to 15 and he's taking people out at the knees when they go up, hoping they won't call a foul on him.

You acting like it means anything.

Spurs would have won those 2 games with Ibaka in there imo but yeah I see what you are saying. Regardless Okc is a very tough match up.

I got to watch the condensed version and I see why the winner had almost 200 pts.

IIRC, the ASG was always played with relaxed defense, but they tried. Just not too hard.
This one was so relaxed it was becoming boring.

That MVP probably means less than ever, but Westbrook loves to shoot and these are the nights he gets to pad them with no consequences, plus he gets an achievement for the resume.

Westbrook chucks up THE WORST shot of the season in an important game.

Seriously, how can you believe this guy is not mentally unstable with this shot to end the game:

    22 points on 24 FGA.

    Meanwhile Durant goes 11-17.

Most overrated player in the L. PERIOD.

So I asked this of some people on Twitter. There is no denying how great WB is. He grades out ridiculous in pretty much every advanced offensive metric. However, do you see his end of game decision making/reverting to worst self as too big of an issue to overcome with regards to winning a le?

His poor shooting is the biggest issue, which exacerbates his questionable decision making..if he was a relatively good shooter, his late-game chucking would be viewed the same way as Kobe and some of the other volume-shooting wings of the previous era of basketball..

I wouldn't want Russy if I was trying to win a le, I've already said it several times in this thread..he's just one of my favorite players, one of the most exciting to watch in the history of the league, a fashion icon, and he generates more subconscious/subtle racism than any other player in the NBA..

The amount of blame he receives is ridiculous, too, since Dominos Durant always gets a pass for his shortcomings for whatever reason..

He is amazing, I agree. I think KD gets a pass because he does everything Russ does, but with hyper efficiency and much more consistency. I mean, Russ/KD carry an absurd burden for their team. It's really quite ridiculous.

If you replace Chris Paul with WestBrick the Cripples would be fighting for the 8th seed. Dude is no different than HarDone who puts up huge numbers by hijacking the ENTIRE offense. He doesn't know when to pick his spots & lack intangibles.

He has all the talent in the world to be like PRIME Wade but he chooses to play like Monta Ellis on steroids.

Westbrook is having an amazing year and there really isn't anyone who can actually stop him but himself. 20 assist tonight. Leads the league in steals and triple double with green. Like harden? He's 2ND in the NBA in assist I believe? Can rebound as good as any pg. Plus can give you 30 a night. Under a legitimate head coach, dude would have won an MVP already.

One of those guys I doubt could have ever co-existed with a "legitimate coach", tbh. That's what Lebron, Harden and Westbrook all have in common - not measurable on the court.

Great coaches are great for a reason. These guys are like that for a reason. The coach usually didn't know what they are doing. If Kobe, Jordan, etc being two of the worse teammates and egotistical players could be coached.. so could these guys. Westbrook has drastically changed his game since he first came into the league as a shooting guard and turned into an amazing point guard. People don't give Westbrook any credit for fining his craft and developing into the player he is. LeBron has won rings with two other superstar egos. Harden is the only one who's a joke out of those three.

Last season happened when WestBrick led OKC to the lotto after Servant won an MVP after leading OKC to the 2nd seed without him while Harden led the Crockets to the 2nd seed & almost won the MVP under the tutelage of McFail. (WestBrick lacks the "clutch" gene)

    HarDone clowning on BOTH Servant/WestBrick:

What a ing baby. Detroit beats them last night, and Reggie Jackson has an exclamation point dunk to seal it. RW called him out for celebrating. You heard me. RUSSELL WESTBROOK CALLED SOMEONE OUT FOR CELEBRATING. What a ing tool. Looked like he was going to cry in the interview.

It's selective. He let Curry crip walk, salsa, mambo and didn't say a damn thing.
