I see Bertan as the only major change this offseason, replacing Bonner.

The thing I like best about the videos is that he can shoot the 3 off the dribble. I wish he could replace Bonner now.

The Leonard/Hill trade has already proved lopsided in favor of the Spurs. Imagine if Bertans pans out!

What is his position? Can he guard legit 4s? The pick and roll? What were his stats for the rest of the game?

Labels Kutxa is doing very well in Euroleague.http://www.marca.com/baloncesto/euro...67b8b4587.html
They are now in quarter finals with home advantage in the first round so far.

Still only 23 - playing well in Euroleague has to count for something (better than watered down college bball). If he becomes a legit rotation player, that part of the Kawhi/Hill trade has to go down as one of the biggest coups ever. Granted, Spurs still had to draft him but this got them the extra 2nd.

NBA = f'd if he can become a legit stretch four next to Aldridge and Kawhi (with Anderson continuing to develop).

I like Bertans, but people shouldn't put such high expectations for him yet. He's much more of a Steve Novak than Korver.

I've never seen Steve Novak chase down block someone and come back down court for the putback dunk.

Jury is still out until we actually see him play in the league, but have to think he at least makes the roster and gets a shot. Key will be ability to guard both 3s and 4s.

Its hard to accurately peg how his athleticism will translate to the NBA. he blocked some 5'11 white guy. Westbrook stiff arms him in midair on the way to a dunk.

He really isn't a PF at all, not even a stretch 4. He could theoretically be called a 4 against a tiny/micro lineup like GSW's "death" lineup. I mean yeah he's a tall 3 but I liken him to stojakovic in that regard (not saying he's as good, but just regarding size/position). Nobody confused peja for a stretch 4

Not really. Porzingis may be a franchise player. Bertans a role player.

This. He's hit 18 threes and missed 13 in Euroleague thus far.

Assist numbers are bad - three in 135 minutes, and he's a 6'10" guy who gets one rebound every ten minutes but a foul every five minutes. That's disconcerting.

But he can shoot! Let's see if the Spurs can get him to develop other skills.
