Don't you dare ing besmirch Pee Pee the Kidnapper or disavow the impact his music had on the blues landscape. Yep...nope...not much known about him except some early recordings. Then nope...yep...he disappeared.

My father claims he really had to pick the mind of Cripple Clarence Lofton to truly understand the impact of Pine Top Smith as Cripple was an admirer of Cow Cow Davenport who in turn really had the goods concerning Pine Top. Pine Top was around for such a brief time. But Cow Cow would weave a tall tale so it's tough.

I figured it's about time someone started a solid blues thread.

I'm not too knowledgeable about the blues but I'm learning a lot from Google. No doubt I'll master the complete history in about 2 hours.

we don't hear much from ZZ Hill. Everyone of course knows...ZZ Top...Billy Gibbons played with many of the greats...even played with Jimi Hendrix.
Jimi's influcences...yep...dem old blues from that south. We know that he went on to be a good rock guitarist but would we have even heard of him without...

    Robert Johnson...Lighting Hopkins...

I have a signed copy of the bio on Hendrix...Kiss the Sky...
not my favorite writing but not bad to have the signature...

I had put it out on a table next to some cassettes during a yard sale
tall slim negro man with shades comes up..
    How much for the book?
    Sorry...not for sale
    Why's it on the table?
Sorry...just showing off...you're welcome to sit in that folding chair over there and read while I'm out here. Just for your trouble, I'll make a duplicate cassette copy of Eliminator for ya.
    Thanks man.
    No problem.
