Javtokas.
JJ Re since the Spurs actually almost had him.
Rasheed Wallace is another player I would have loved to see on the Spurs. I remember the strong interest in 2009 before he signed with the Celtics.
Danny Granger, Pau Gasol, Jermaine O'Neal when he was still decent.
You guys remember when they were trying to make a deal to unload the admiral for chris webber? I think it was around 2001 or 02. Nothing against Webber, but i was pretty nervous about that one, they sounded close. It was reported during one of the game night radio broadcasts.
Scola, Barbosa, Dragic, Salmons
JR Smith
Corey Brewer
Corey Maggette
Danny Granger
I was ready to leave the Spurs fan base for as long as Malone was on the team.
that elbow he gave to #50... I always thought it was weird that he was even considered
It's impossible to forget. This was actually the summer of 2001 when C-Webb was a free agent. He said he was tempted to call the Spurs back after they reached out. I don't even want to imagine the fallout if we had let The Admiral get away.
Dodged an expensive bullet with Grant Hill. Dude was never the same after his injury. I'm glad Joumana blocked us.
Um whut?
Joumana didn't want to go to podunk San Antonio so the only way Hill could play with Duncan was to try to get him to go to Florida. Turned out Hill pretty much sucked anyway and never recreated his glory days in Detroit after blowing his ankle.
Jourmana was Kidd's wife not Hill's. You are mixing that up with the Kidd saga.
whoops. I stand corrected. It was Hills wife Tamia that didn't want to go to SA though. Thought it would hurt her ty career.
Hill played some pretty damn good ball in Phoenix. Not like his peak, but he sure gave the Spurs some trouble at times.
*shudders*
Nah, that was Joumana again. Hill didn't come here because he was a franchise player in his prime and the Spurs could only offer about $2 million mid level exception vs the $93 million 7 year deal he got in Orlando. The Spurs actually had capspace for Kidd, but Joumana had a part time anchor gig on one of the NY TV stations that she wasn't willing to give up.
