After last night's near skunker (and subsequent quit) TOSB kirby's career average has fallen to 24.99 (33464 points in 1339 games).

As you may or may not know, kirbs keeping the 25.0 is a big deal to some, including one of our dearest - and considered by some as the sagest of - laker fan; therefore, I've decided to create this thread so we can better keep track of the whole thing.

With 7 games to play in his career is kirby gonna be able to bounce back and save what little dignity LF still has got left, or is the 25.0 - just like the lakers hopes to be a relevant team in the next decade - gone forever tbh?

Maybe he could record an NBA statistician telling him of a dalliance / affair.
Then blackmail the statistician by saying he will snitch if he/she doesn't fudge the numbers to give him 25.

The 25.1 lasted 2/3 of the season. Stands to reason 25 flat would take it home.

In order for KB8 or KB24 or Black Mamba or Vino to make 24.95 or above by the end of the season, and assuming he plays in all 7 of the remaining games, he would have to score 119 or more points total in those 7 games (an average of 16.85), and that is right about his average for this season (16.6).

    The remaining games are:
Boston - Tough defensive team, especially on the perimeter. - Kobe had 15 points on 18 shots the last time they met.
Clippers x2 - Are we seeing 48 threequel? Kobe had 12 points the last time they met, and "rested" the other game this season.
Pelicans - Weak team over, most players can feast on this team. Kobe is averaging 17 ppg against them this season. Can he lead the Lakers to a sweep of the Pels?
Rockets - Weak defensive team, Kobe should be able to score way more than 16 a game against Harden's defense. Kobe is averaging 17.3 ppg against them this year.
Jazz - Will hood destroy Kobe and the Lakers like he did last time? We will find out. Kobe is averaging 5 ppg vs. the Jazz this year.

Boston and Jazz will be tough to score against for Kobe, Clippers could be, but they are resting, Pelicans and Rockets should be a cakewalk. This will likely go down the wire.

24 is more fitting for KB24 imo.

And the 24.9 is on the card. Nary a room for Cubby to argue right now so fittingly enough he's back in the RR. Must have seen it coming.

    And it's divisible by 12.
