It was long coming after they brought Jerry Colangelo on board to fix the mess (aka the Process)...they have literally nothing to show for as far elite/transcendental talent after a mega tanking spell..Wonder how this will affect coach Brett Brown..

Guess the pick doesn't belong to Hinkie.
If you look at who they've drafted - Noel, Okafor & Embiid there weren't many better options available. Embiid was worth the risk cause of the ty draft. Next year they'll have Ingram or Simmons, Dario Saric from Europe & Embiid off the bench. If they trade Okafor for a decent guard they'd be in pretty good shape.
No way they draft Simmons, they already have enough PF's on the team. He's Lakers bound
Christ, Jerry Colangelo makes Doc look like he hires solely on merit. Hinkie got screwed.
I say trade Noel, tbh. He's not a good fit next to Okafor plus the contract extension talks are coming soon, and tbh I don't think he's worth the max. Embiid has zero trade value right now, so just start him next year and see what he has to offer. Try to steal Bradley Beal in free agency while Washington tries to recruit Durant and/or throw max money at Conley..
Embiid
Okafor
Ingram
Beal/Conley
Hinkie got screwed. He was tanking, but at least he had a plan and the 76ers ownership knew it from day 1. Letting him go to bring Bryan Collangelo is just ridiculous. He is a GM. Nepotism at its best.
Bryan Colangelo?
Dude destroyed the suns and the Raptors.

Embiid is going the Oden route tbh. Noel has some potential atleast. Okafor doesnt want to be there though.
Hinkie full letter..he mentions the Spurs in one instance..
The thing that killed the Hinkie tank wasn't so much the tank itself, but rather that he ignored the players and their own motivations to win and improve and grow. So he has piles of picks but his whole team has quit because they know the organizations goal is to lose. They can't wait to get out when they hit free agency.
What a rambling letter. Basically he is saying the organization is not patient enough.
Damn, Landry Fieldsis this still in the league tbh?
They aren't. They signed on to a long-term rebuild and then pussied out when all the mainstream fans started hating on them with their upstairs-caliber takes. Now they're striving for mediocrity with a geriatric old codger and his re ed kid at the helm.
Jesus ing Christ He Jerry Maguired the out of that letter. All that "longer view" horse is just saying "can't produce". Who the has an 8 year plan for a team with 4 year contracts? Sounds pretty stupid and a whole lot like he spent more time on that letter than on that team.
