On Mike and Mike today, they played a Kobe soundbite in which he said resting players takes away from the culture and spirit of the game. He said Phil didn't like that approach, so Kobe and Shaq always played, and so did Michael and Scottie.

During the soundbite, ESPN showed footage of Tim and other Spurs in street clothes on the bench.

Thoughts?

Interesting take from a player who obviously hamstrung his team by commanding a King's ransom. Add his selfishness to the mix, i.e. taking the majority of shots on his team while shooting an abysmal FG% and you have a player that has NO room to speak about the spirit of the game. Ridiculous.

Heh... sorry, I didn't think I needed to put that in blue. No, not real. But everyone knows that the Lakers have to finish with one of the 3 worst records in the league, or they lose their first-round pick in the draft. There has never been a more obvious tank job.
